[Halo 2] Linking ctrl's to mach's

Post by Anubus11 »

Well im leaving halomods because i got Final Fantasy 11 for the 360, its a sweet game, but i thought that i might as well leave something before i left.

How to add a [ctrl] that is linked to a [mach]. or just how to link a [ctrl] to a [mach].

first i just like to thank P8ntbal for telling me some of the stuff i had to do.

~What You Need~

-Entity, the latest version.
-ADI, if you dont like entity's meta editor.
-Insolence.

Open up Insolence along with containment and the map you want to add the control and machine to, lockout for me.

~Open up Insolence~
1.Drag drop all the machines from containment to lockout.
2.Drag drop all the controls from containment to lockout.
~Open up Entity~
1.For this example im going to use containments gate and switch.
2.Open up containment in entity and go to the [scnr] tag.
3.Open up lockout and go to the [scnr] tag.
4.Go back to containment and back to containments [scnr] tag.
5.Right click somewhere in the refrence editor and goto the clone chunk option.
6.Now in the clone chunker window goto - Reflexive - Name: Device Groups - size: 40 - offset: 160 and click it.
7.Make sure you didnt select any of its chunks just the reflexive.
8.Now once you have clicked it hit the copy to clipboard button.
9.Now goto lockout and goto the scnr tag and click the Device group reflexive in the chunk cloner.
10.Then goto Add to Selected Reflexive/Chunk.
11.Then the window should blink kind of, then go down to Device Group and click it then click the Add Meta to Map button
12.Now do this for not only device groups but also - Machine Placement - Machine Pallete - Control Placement - Control Pallete.
~Entity - continued~
1. If all you want is one control then just open the bsp viewer and goto mach and you can change around the switch and the base_gate, but write down the switch's x, y, and z, coordinates.
2. Open up ADI and then goto the ctrl placement and goto the dropdown box and select the number that has a 2 in its object type and put its XYZ coordinates as the same as the base switch.
