XBOX-PC-Halo 2-Getting old maps from XBOX

Getting All H2 Maps on your PC



Welcome to this long tutorial by soccerfreak. It will be a long tutorial andhas a SLIGHT risk to it.

First of all you will need:
Unmodded or softmodded XBOX-EvoX Dash
Computer with WIndows XP
Splinter Cell, MechAssault, or 007 Agent Under Fire( I use Splinter CEll)
Halo 2
Winrar
FlashFXP
Action Replay
Patience
--Connection:
Etherent Cord from back of your Computer to a Router,
Etherent Cord from back of your XBOX to a Router,
Etherent Cord from back of your Router to the Internet.


Now were all set.
1st step:

Download these files and extract it, determine which game you are using, if Splinter Cell determinewhich Type you are using, PAL or NTSC, Pal is for British XBOXes and NTSC is for the U.S. boxes. So we have our file, move it to the Desktop if not Already.

2nd Step:
Open Action Replay with your memory card connected to your PC. Drag over your file from your desktop over to the Left Column of AR(Memory Card Section) And wait for it to upload. If it is Splinter Cell you will have to move it to your XBOX in two trips.

3rd Step:
When the file is on your memory card take out your memory card and put it into your XBOX controller. THen turn your XBOX on with the open tray button. The M$ Dashboard should come up. Go to Memory>Controller 1 IT should have something about Linux Files, scroll down to it then highlight it by moving your joystick right. Hit "a" then Copy and "a" again. It is now on your XBOX.

4th Step:
Load the Game and Find the Linux Profile and Click it, im not sure exactly where but for Splinter Cell it goes Start Game>LINUX>Checkpoints. There should now be a bunch of options. BEFORE ANYTHING CHOOSE

Next Choose Install Softmod, when done click install EvoX. Now restart your XBOX.

5th Step:
You should now see the EvoX dashboard with the halo-hq skin. If so scroll down to launch applications. Click dvd2xbox. When it loads put in halo 2 then hit the button for file manager "b" I think. There should be two
sections open now, hit "R" or move the joystick(cant Remember) to toggle between them.

6th step:
For the left section go to D:Maps(to go to "D:/" hit the white button I forgot but it brings up a Drive select menu)Or sum10 of that sort.(Just Find Maps Folder) When you find the maps folder open it. Inside are all the maps of halo 2 except for the 9 new. Now hit "b" on all the ones you want on your PC, now hit "R" or move the joystick(cant Remember) and it should toggle to the right section. Go to E:Games. Now hit "R" or move the joystick(cant Remember) to go to the Left Section and hit L. Select Copy/DIR and let it copy. When its done CONGRATS!!! You now have H2 Maps on your HDD.

7th STep:
Restart your XBOX when the copying is done and load the DASH, when loaded go to system Config>Settings. Here is what I did for these options

Setup Network:YES
Use Static IP:YES
(First IP Addres THing):192.168.2.136

When like this scroll down to Save and Exit then restart your XBOX. Now on your PC open FlashFXP and go to Session>Quick Connect.

Server or URL:192.168.2.136 Port:21
Username:xbox
Password:xbox

Click connect when settings are like that. You should now see folders on the right. Go to E:Games and all the H2 Maps should be there. Just drag to a folder to your PC and vhwalllaaa.
