[Halo 2] - Beginner - Adding maps after the AU

Post by Ketchup_Bomb »

This is a little video tutorial that I was asked to make.
It explains what you have to do in order to add the maps to the mainmenu AFTER the auto-update has raped your xbox. =P

Re-upped here: http://www.blitzfiles.com/ketchup/HM/tu ... inMenu.rar - Link also down.

EDIT:
If you rename the AU, be sure to name it back to it's original before you sign on xbl.
It does not matter if it is a downloaded content map or not, if you have the newest AU, then you have to rename the AU.
If you don't have the newest AU.. which you should if you have all the new maps, then just don't worry about renaming the AU.

EDIT 2:
If you are looking to add more than one map to the mainmenu, just follow the exact same process, save you will need to use a different slot on the [matg] tag.
Also, if your "Value" and "Next Value" on slot 12 are "420", you will need a new "Value" and "Next Value" for slot 13.
I just follow a sequential order... so slot 13 would be 430, 14 as 440, 15 as 450... etc.

Lastly, when it comes to renaming the AU, you can rename the folder "$u", instead of renaming each individual file, like I did in the tutorial.
This saves time, and is just a lot easier.

If the above links do not work, download via Halomods.
If they do work, please use them and use this only as a last resort.
