I know its not technically halo 2 related but anyway...

This is a time saving app for people who do a lot of skinning and a revolution for people who dont know the secrets of making a repeating texture

Options are thus:

Repeat Horizontal
Repeat Vertical
Both

Rotate 90 Degrees
Flip Horizontal
Flip Vertical

Nothing amazing but it saves time

NICE! So this can be used for like making skins we can replace over bitmaps so there are no seams?

You ought to release one as a Photoshop script/action.

But this doesnt open .dds files nor saves it as them. Only other image formats.

Very nice App, but I don't think I'll ever use it. A texture that is mirrored looses its the randomness as actual textures in the real world (search "real world" in google for anybody confused ;)). I'll have to stick to my custom-made seamless textures. I've never been a fan of mirrored textures.

I got to say, though, that you're a champ for coming up with this. For those who are too lazy previously to make a nice seamless texture and just throw in the nasty seamed ones into their skins, I think this will help a lot. It sure will help me look at their skins now :D.

Good work.

that makes 2 of us

edit:
add the ability to firstly hack off parts of the image to make it square, and after it is done makeing it seamless, resize to one of the...like 3 sizes bungie uses

thanks for the mostly postive comments i wasnt sure how this would be recieved :D
It's not so much seamless textures as it is mirrored textures.
same difference :P its just a nice quick way for unskilled skinners to make a half decent skin
anyhow once this has done its thing you can always edit it to make it more random, cause the hardest part really is making the edges match :P
add the ability to firstly hack off parts of the image to make it square, and after it is done makeing it seamless, resize to one of the...like 3 sizes bungie uses
well i could add a crop option but i dont think i'll be adding a resize option cause the likes of photoshop have far better scalers than i could make

on a side note this was moved to utilities faster than i expected

p.s. Yay 27 Downloads!

This program is pretty good. Just curious though, why does it need to access the internet?
