im having trouble
where can i get the plugins to Adobe Photoshop?????
Duh
If anyone still doesn't get it here's a pretty descriptive set of instructions I found on someone's page:
First, you must download a program called
Adobe Photoshop CS2. You can download a Trail Version of the program, with a
free registration at this link: http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/ ... ftpID=2730 Once you
have that downloaded you have to download a .dds plug in so Photoshop can read
the bitmap. You can find one here:
http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=463
Make sure you put the plug in is in the plug in file for Photoshop. C
Drive/Program Files/Adobe/PhotoShop/Plug Ins. It goes in File Format folder AND
import-export folder. Now go to the bitmap you
want to edit. Click Save Bitmap. Open it in PhotoShop and edit it to your liking.
Click save as a .DDS file. This should open a screen. On the right side choose
DXT1 (1-bit alpha) and on the right make sure all the boxes on the right side are
checked. Under MIP maps makes sure it says generate or use existing. Now click
Save, go to Halo Map Tools, click Inject Texture and you may get a message
about updating the texture size. Click yes. Congratulation you just skinned
something!
