Its features are:
•Will Darkfall Have player owned houses? Definately. Players will be able to set up houses of various sizes and design, ranging from small cottages to huge castles and citadels.
•Can I design my own house? Yes. [more info to come]
•Can I have pets or NPC hirelings in Darkfall? Yes. You can have pets and NPC hirelings in Darkfall, ranging from tamed animals and monsters, to summoned skeletons, charmed animals and monsters, hired NPC merchants, hired NPC guards, etc.
•Will Darkfall feature night/day cycles? Absolutely. The sun comes up in the morning, and goes down in the evening just like in real life. The exact timecycle is not set yet, but the current total night/day cycle is about 4 hours long.
•Will Darkfall feature weather effects? Yes. Expect realistic weather effects, such as rain, snow, wind blowing in the trees, wind blowing in the grass on the ground, thunder and lightning.
•In Darkfall, all items in the world can be made by the players.
There are tons of other features The graphics are amazing (these were all shot in medium quality)
(The black night is actually an Orc player, and due to size he has a huge advantage over the dwarf but its very vulnerable towards the dark mage's due to weakness of magic, so its balanced)
(The boat is driven by one player and maintained by a clan, They built it using a custom building tool in the game with materials they gathered and they are attempting to raid a city which was also built from scratch by a rival clan.)
All in all im sold, If you go to their website and forums (link on the site), There will be literally at least 200 features I did not post. Check it out I can't wait until Jan. 22nd, So check it out and tell me what you think.

WoW? Are you joking? Read up on the game please. I'm not going to even humor that comment.

It's not going to maintain the subscriber base it needs to in order to survive in the genre right now.

well, I'm not the biggest fan of MMOs, so being uneducated in that area makes me group them all together.
sorry, just not interested

This game actually does look impressive. I used to play WoW every now and again but this has got features that would blow WoW away. Not saying either or is better but this has got some ups that WoW doesn't and i'm sure WoW has got some but damn this looks great. Nice find Tru!

graphically good. I'm not a huge fan of MMOs though. Looks a lot sharper than WOW, thats for sure. And that custom building tool is badass

It's mainly targeting the audience from UO. If any of you are familiar with it

It does look nice.
Probably won't be willing to pay monthly for it, however.

From the twenty minutes that I played WoW with my half nephew I would definitely play this over it any day, even if it doesn't hold up to its promises...
I'd rather not bet against Tural and GTAF though.

Eh.. I'd bet against them.. It may be small and not have much marketing but I believe that it won't die and crash like some recent mmorpg's that have been released

If you measure success by the user base, which you should, since the entire goal of a subscription based MMORPG is to have a large subscriber base, it will fail, and you are delusional if you think otherwise. I'd guess you'd be willing to bet Age of Conan and Warhammer didn't fail too, right? Not only will this not have any major subscriber base, but it will be so unknown that they won't even have news articles about it like they did AoC and Warhammer, because it was never even popular enough to compare its current state (In a month or so, when they write the articles), to how it began. Today you can find many pieces about why the two aforementioned MMOs failed, what they did wrong, why the subscriber base failed, etc. You won't find that about this, because nobody will have cared. A few thousand people is no number to be proud of, and that's what this is going to sustain. I'd honestly be impressed if they turned profitable from the amount of time they put into this. I guess you're right though, it won't die and crash like others, in the same way a plane can't really crash before it takes off. If you're sitting on the ground, going nowhere, you can't really get any lower.
