Well, Metal Gear Solid 4 has been about for a bit, and I've been wanting to play like hell since it came out. Downsides are, I don't have a Playstation 3, nor do I intend to get one, and there are only rumors about MGS4 coming out for the 360. However, I've heard that the whole game is practically cutscenes anyway, so I figured I'd just hit up Youtube and watch a few, since story was the main reason I wanted it. I came across a playlist someone on youtube created to broadcast every cutscene in MGS4. Let me tell you, though I still intend to buy the game, I almost feel like there's no need. The cutscenes are very long, and each take place very quickly after each other, so you rarely miss much. I'm not saying this as too much as a negative though.. I got very into it, and enjoyed every second of it. I almost feel as if I should put this in my Youtube thread, because it really feels more like discussing a movie. What to you guys think? Here's another link to the Playlist so you can watch for yourself if you want. Keep in mind, major spoilers.

Yeah, many cutscenes in the game. I also enjoyed watching them when I first played through it. People complain that MGS4 is nothing buy cutscenes, but my first playthrough clocked in at over 22 hours (that includes time spent watching cutscenes, which you said is about 9 hrs).
The gameplay is really, really, awesome. You get to pilot a metal gear and a tank, ride in a motorcycle while shooting enemies, and the boss fights are outstanding. Not to mention it has all the great tactical sneaking and CQC shenanigans from the other games. Oh! and MGO too, which is amazing.
Honestly, this is my second favorite game ever (second to Halo).
