I would have to say the first time I ever saw her, while I was playing in the dark with the sound on high.

F.E.A.R is too predictable to be scary. It may make you jump, but nothing more. Extraction Point had some pretty cool moments though, such as when one particular character is killed...lights flicker on and off, and every time they're on there's more ghost creatures surrounding him.
I can't really think of a game as "scary" to be honest.

Same goes here, but I've never truly found anything "Scary" the closest thing would be a little jump when something is loud but that is my natural body reaction.

Well yeah, I don't really think you can get very scared while playing a video game. The closest to it is just that, they can make you jump... But making you jump on a consistent basis is the challenge these games have to achieve, as most "scary" games I play I'm usually used to these moments in the first 10 minutes of the game.
Doom 3 was kinda freaky in the beginning, AvP 2 had some freaky moments as well, when you're sneaking through the hives and crap as a marine. It's more the unpredictability of it that makes it freaky, you never know when, say, an alien was going to jump out at you so you kinda get tense.

Ill second that. The first half of FEAR made me jump quite a few times but the scaryness wore down after that.

The only game I've found remotely scary is Penumbra. It's sort of like doom, with no guns. It's pretty intense to have to run away and hide rather than shoot. There are ways to kill things, but you have to be smart about it.
It's an awesome game.
My friends found F.E.A.R scary and had me play it in the dark.. But I got bored with it, and didn't so much as jump when the little girl popped out. Doom 3 is sort of intense sometimes when you open a door and something jumps out and attacks you, but it's never actually 'scared' me.
I heard STALKER is a pretty freaky game.. I'd like to try it out sometime.

I've never played FEAR, but I really want to.
The scariest moment for me in a game, I guess, was in Halo 3, when I figured out that Infection Forms can take over dead Human corpses. Although that was more creepy than scary. I haven't ever really played much "scary" games.

They "Spooky" chapter in Conker's BFD. Trying to headshot zombies with a crappy aiming system was very scary.

Ravenholm wouldn't bother me if it wasn't for the poison headcrabs. I really hate those.

Condemned 1 has the best HOLY SH** moments IMO. I absolutely love that game. Condemned 2 is alright but not as scary/creepy.

When games go down the scary/creepy route, I really really buy into the atmosphere, so I end up jumping at the smallest thing.
Only thing I can think of in recent memory was the dental room in bioshock. The fog takes over your screen for a sec once, nothing happens...The second time you're thinking "Oh he's gonna appear in front of me"... There was nothing, so I picked up the item up ahead and turned around and AAH!
*cracks surgeon's skull open
But I don't play really any scary games, I just don't think to get them...May try condemned 1

Heh, I played the Bioshock demo at my friends' in pitch darkness with a bunch of people all around me.
When I got to the first Little Sister/Big Daddy part, all of them were just shouting "OH FUCK SHOOT IT NOW I DON'T CARE IF YOU DON'T HAVE WEAPONS."
The part that bothered me was the zombie-type lady talking to the gun in the carriage...it's more of that strange psychological stuff that bothers me than the simple "leaping out of the darkness" things.
