Xbox 360\Elite or PS3... Which to get...

I want to know which one should I get out of those 3. I know that Xbox 360 has many more great games than PS3, but Xbox 360 has problems with the 3 Red rings of death and such. As to that aspect, should i get a 360 Elite because of all the problems with the Regular 360? OR should i just get a ps3. I know the PS3 has great graphics and all, but i heard it sucks because of the load time to load the graphics, plus not many good games. In the end im pretty confused which to get. Is it worth the money to buy an Elite with all the problems the original has? Or should i just get a PS3 for almost the same amount but with crappy load times, and not many games? I am sort of leaning towards the 360, since it has many more fun games that I would like (halo 3, COD4,RB6Vegas ect.) But since the red rings of death can cost you money if you dont have a warrenty, which should i get. Elite is way more, and i dont see much better things about it, other than the Overheat fix from the original and way more GB. (Although I doubt i'd need that many). So post your opinions here, cuz i dont really know which one to get.

Thanks,
Line§§

When you buy an Xbox 360, you automatically get a 3 year warranty for the RRoD (as long as you buy it new, not used.) I think the Elite also has the same problems with the RRoD. The Elite would be good if you want to put on music, videos, and other things.
The 360 has lots of movies and stuff that you can rent. Also, unlike the PS3, you can find friends to play online with and you have achievements which you can earn.
The 360 also does have a lot of good exclusive games, including Halo 3, Gears of War, Ace Combat, and many others.
Also, if you were to buy a PS3, then you should know that the 40GB version does not play PS2 games.

Overall, I would suggest you buy an Xbox 360 (Elite if you have the money).

What would you gain from buying it used?

Ugh. The Red ring of death is still an issue, albeit a much smaller issue than what it originally was. So when saying "omg didn't fix it?" it lowered the potential of it failing by having newer and more efficient chips and cooling methods.

Buying an elite or a pro or any 360 for that matter nowadays does not come with the "guaranteed to fail at some point" official stamp on it. I'd say what it boils down to is if you treat it like crap or you do something stupid.

Buying a used 360 is stupid. Especially if you wanted to avoid the RRoD issue. Because you are getting an older potentially misused console. On top of which, people will do the towel trick and then sell it. So the console will work for a week and then die again...Not good.

Anyway for gaming go 360, for multimedia and some games, go with the ps3.

The Elite had no new chipset...
Wait until this Fall, when the new chipsets come out, and the RROD will be incredibly uncommon. Even now, with the current chipsets, it is significantly reduced. However, buying it used would be the most retarded thing, because you wouldn't have the warranty.
tl;dr: The Elite console, when released, had no significant differences from a regular console. All consoles now have more advanced CPU/GPU chipsets, reducing RROD likelihood by a lot.

No it doesn't. All PS3s are backwards compatible except the 40GB for PS2 games.

With several people, and every internet site, saying it isn't backwards compatible, I'm going to go with them.

Oh so by your comments, im guessing if I do buy it new and it has problems, then you send it in, they dont fix the problem for good, it could stil happen again. So therefor get it fixed right before your warrenty goes out, and treat it really good.
