I was just wondering how many of you guys use the xbox media center? If so please elaborate on the details pertaining to it. As in:

> Do you use it as a main dashboard?
> Do you have any extra skins for it besides Project Mayhem?
> If you have extra skins do you use MC360?
> What kind of setup do you have for your skin/xbmc?
> Do you have an old version or do you keep up with newer releases?
> Any tweaks you have done to XBMC/your skin?

My setup:

▪ XBMC as main dashboard.
▪ Using default MC360 skin.
▪ Just upgraded to the latest T3CH release for use with the newest version of MC360.
▪ Running at 720p.
▪ PC/Xbox sharing enabled for streaming purposes.

Same besides the streaming setup and the new one.

how can you make the xbox 1 run at 720p?

I've got xbmc with 360 skin but evox as main dashboard...

thing is, I rarely use original xbox anymore...My 360 with wireless streaming is king for me

I got something else for my main dashboard.

But for XBMC everything is the same as yours bascially, just no streaming.

HD A/V Cables. You can buy them.

I think XBMC is endorsed by Satan, because it's so rad.

I used to have an original Xbox (v1.1) with an Xecuter 3 modchip, Evolution X and XBMC running. I had a 160GB HDD storing all of my games on it. When the Xbox finally died from all of the modding I did on it (I was extremely big on the electrical engineering part of modding), I thought about buying another 1.1 or something, but never got around to it (as my computer replaced it).

If the 360 is ever cracked (doubt it will since the hypervisor along with much of the hardware seems to be uncrackable), I will buy an extra, mod it, and create media center machine (probably sometimes in college if anything).

But yeah, I really liked XBMC it was a really good open-source community port of Media Center (that worked much better I might add).

I got the same thing minus 720p.

I changed the name of the thread to include other xbox modifications. I suppose i'll include that yes, I do use HD cords for my original xbox. I run a 1.4 Halo SE xbox. I would like to get a XERC kit for my xbox and install it but I haven't gotten around to it. I have a custom made (myself) usb to xbox connecter for using my external hdd and my usb thumbdrives with it. Along with the Ipod, which XBMC mounts itself.

The USB to xbox connector is also great for using with a "internet explorer" application I have on my xbox. I use it with a usb mouse and keyboard instead of the xbox controller because it's so much better that way.

I use UnleashX as my main dash, and XBMC as an APP. That's it. :/

No tweaks or anything. Except for my HD activity LED in the front.

I got a Xbox v1.0.
Soft Modded.
250 Gig Hard drive.
Contemplating on buying a clear case for it.
Latest version of XBMC as my dashboard.

If you want more details, I have a 1.0 xbox, thats right, I have the oldest one possible... I have xmas tree lights rigged inside under the xbox emblem on top(of which i sanded the back off of so its clear). The end result of this is a mighty fine looking red glowing xbox symbol on top to match my red led on front. And finally a nice xbox skin to make it all look that much fancier.

i have a 500 GB hdd with over 70 xbox game titles on it

and internet explorer access

a few case lighting mods

But, at this point its sole purrpose is a paper weight =P

yeah 500 isnt uncalled for i work for gamestop so i copy games all the time

oh yeah forgot i have it hooked up to a constant updating movie site so i can watch current releases for free streaming on it

I have 3 modded Xboxes at my apartment here.... all have unleash X as the main dash, only two of them have XBMC... and they use the X360 skin. I don't bother with the current releases because my version I have works great for what I need and there's no need to fix what aint broke.

The third Xbox that doesn't have XBMC I use for Stepmania... picked up that Xbox for $15 and it's only purpose in life is stepmania

Yeah, I have four original xbox's. All are modded. My main one is hardmodded, the other's i've softmodded myself. I only use 2, one for all main purposes. The other is hooked directly up to my PC for testing purposes. I also have mimesis...haven't used it in awhile. I am a huge movie buff so I have lots of movies on there. I have so many I have them classified by genre. I have a TON of roms and emulators as well. I love playing old school games on my xbox. Mario Kart 64 is a blast for having people over. I got a few decals on my xbox including a Halo2 sticker since pre-release of the game. Another is a "I heart Zombies" sticker.

Haha, yea I gave an Xbox to my sister before I left, and I left two others back home to let my brother have when I moved into my apartment.

One of the Xboxes down here I let my roommate use. Hooked it up to his TV and just let him play with that one, it has all the roms/emus on it and whatnot...

I setup a PC that's just used as a file server in my apartment here, holds my movies and whatnot so that XBMC can access them and stream it across the network.

I've pretty much deleted all of my Halo 2 modding stuff from my Xboxes.... never use it anymore and didn't see the point in having it steal my space

The other xbox that I have down here I have my PSX emulator on it with a few roms on it. I beat FFVII on my Xbox a few months ago It also has XBMC so that I can stream media to it..

I love XBMC, but I can't figure out how to make it my default dashboard.

Also, can you rip music onto your xbox like the Xbox dashboard? Can you also change the resolution with XBMC?

Dunno about making XBMC default, but I'm pretty sure you can rip music if its from an actual CD, not a burned CD. Or you could just rip it to your computer, then FTP it.
