How many of you have switched?

OK, honestly, how many have switched to a new engine or stopped modding altogether?
I have moved to CryEngine2, but planning to create my own next year.

What do you mean? Are you asking us what we've modded aside from Halo? If so, the only other one I've modded was AVP2... Ah yes, and Source.

I did a lot in Halo, then moved to Source, did almost nothing there, and will probably move to Cry2 if I ever get the chance.

My first mod was on GTA:SA and I made a hippy mobile, it was pretty cool. Once I found out you could mod Halo 2 I was all over the game. I've been modding that ever since.

Here is the thing. The Halo 1 engine is, well, just dated, and there isn't a lot of activity in the custom maps area (which really doesn't matter because people have probably moved on to bigger and better things).
I have moved, but quite frankly, its hard to adjust. So, I was wondering if a large majority have switched to some other engine, but, like myself, have found the move too difficult.
I dunno.

My first mods ever were for CS 1.6. I made a few skins with... I think it was Photoshop 5? Then I moved to Battlefield 1942. Then when Halo PC came out, I all out modded that. I've slowed down on Halo Modding a lot. I will continue once modding Halo 3 is possible. For now I'll stick with Source.

I see. Well, if I still had my Source games, I'd probably be modding that, because I was getting really deep into it due to the lack of activity in the Halo field. But I gave them away... I want to mod Halo 2 but I don't have enough money to get started on it. So right now I'm just kind of in a stand still.

I wish everyone who quit Halo 2 modding didn't, especially the ones who said they're just gonna stop Halo 2 and wait for Halo 3, because now there just waiting and we have no idea how much longer were gonna have to wait. So while there waiting they could have been making breakthroughs or great mods for Halo 2. We probably could have gotten custom bsp's done by now. But w.e.

Yeah, I noticed the activity in Halo 2 modding dropped heavily..

I do some custom, unrefined songs for myself for Frets on Fire and Stepmania. I've also made a couple X-Plane plane skins, and have made some variants of planes that're totally unrealistic (lol for fully digital B737-200 with completely unnecessary instruments)

I'd have to say that if all of a sudden a massive virus infected all halo files, I would still come to this forum just because the community is great. All the people that have been here for awhile pretty much respect each other and it's just a great place to be really. My only complaint is the new comers that think that they're all that and a bag of chips with a six pack, but once we critique them they just start flaming. Everyone will always say, The community was better a year ago.

Yea, I think by January we're gonna have a form of modding going for Halo 3, but I'm not quiting until then, and probably not even after that.

Halo 3 modding will start as soon as unsigned code can be run on 360s.

Unless someone who can sign XEX's(2-5 people?) can just release a
PPF Patch( >_< ) after XBL modding is impossible.
But thats a bit offtopic is it not? Talking about why we cant mod a game, as supposed to talking about What we have, will, or are modding.

HaloPC modding FTW. I haven't modded for a long time now though and I've tried CSS and TF2.
