Posted: Fri Nov 30, 2007 2:21 pm
Summarized.
Dashboard redesign: Cleaned up, organized, sortable marketplace, games lists, etc.
Xbox Live Arcade Hits: Basically a reduced price XBLA list, like standard Platinum Hits.
XBLA Demos: Demos will no longer show up in the Played Games list, which will increase your percentage of achievements completed, etc.
Inside Xbox: Quick news list with news content. Updated daily by Microsoft/Xbox.
Profile Information: Biography, location, full name fields added to profile.
Friends of Friends: View friends of people who have the friends list viewing enabled.
Videos: Media thumbnails for videos played from a USB drive (Make a JPG with the same name as the video). Divx support (Videos made with Divx 5 or higher). Streaming video from marketplace (Previews for movies and news content, mostly).
Child/Adult accounts: Previously, if an account was created under 18 years old, but aged past that, the account did not update. Now, the account settings menu can promote a child account to an adult account, if over 18. That will enable features such as the Messenger.
Xbox Originals: Previously posted. Games will be 1200 points each ($15 USD).
Family Timer: Enables parents to limit console use on child accounts.
