Almost you ask? I'd prefer this thread to be spoiler free...Nothing worse than a story centric game/movie/book be ruined because some loser posts the crazy twists or ending. So none of that.


My thoughts so far: I really like the game. There are some pretty big things that they could have changed. The autosave feature is shocking. It saves at key story progression only (so far to me at least). So I die at the end of fighing many bad guys, almost clear some space lab and fix everything before moving on...Then I die. Then I'm put about over an hour back...WUT?
Then there's direction. Sometimes it feels there is little of it. I find myself sometimes wondering what I am to do. Its like oblivion I guess. But I like a pretty clear direction.
Other than that, its awesome, like the combat, love the GFX, love whats happening so far.


what do you guys think?

I don't plan on getting it maybe renting it later on but could you post any videos of game play that you think would make someone buy this game?

I bought it but just haven't played it yet. Freakin' Rock band is addicting...

An hour back? That seems pretty serious. How can you play the game like that?

There's no way to save manually?

You can save manually, but you need to remember to save constantly, before and after fights. To me it seemed like a lot more dialog than fighting almost like a book or movie more than a game.

You can save manually...but that's the thing...Calling a feature "auto-save" is pretty damn crap if its not going to save frequently. Heck, they should have done it for plot points AND every 1/2 hour or something.

Because after I died, I realised I never went to the effort of pressing save...So I was way back BEFORE I had even go to the place that I had cleared out completely. It made me turn it off. I guess, I should get back into the habit of saving every now and then...Most of todays games save automatically so you don't have to...This one has trouble.

Hehe thanks for the heads up Scotty. I'm gunna save before and after everything I do now...or when I start playing...soon...

How is the FP shooting action?

Ok good. It shouldn't be a problem for me, as I'm obsessed with saving excessively (my main gripe with the Halo games... I'd finish something and I prayed for a checkpoint that never came, then an honor guard comes at me with a sword and all I have is a smg with half a clip)

I only got to the first combat part where you just get out of the ship...

So far I don't like the combat, but I love everything else. I really hope the combat kicks up for me!

Reviews say it takes getting used to (it wasn't the case for me however).

Also, its not FP combat to the person that said it. It's over the shoulder

I started the game about 2 days ago... and Its awesome

The Tut didn't do much with me... just repeatingly Kicking ass taught me a lot though.

My shotgun can Kick your Ass XD

I suggest that if you are new to it ,Play the game for about a Mission or two than READ THE MANUAL!!!!

Is there a demo for this game, I'm grounded and can't really just go to a store and buy a game.

As of right now... no... but then again, a Demo wouldn't to Justice.

Oh, Well I guess I'll have to get my brother to stop by Blockbuster quick so I can rent it.
From what I've seen and heard, It's a great game.

Hehe just started on Saturday and as of right now...I am at level 26 or so. I can't put this game down unless I have to sleep or goto class. Awesome stuff here. No problems with the save feature for me. I save pretty much before I think anything is goin' down.

I'm much more in th habit now...I don't know what level I am though.
Currently about 5.5 hours in.

Remember my previous rant about HD differences being so slight? Well, I say this game looks much better in HD. Not only with some of the textures, but I espeically love it during conversations. Commander Shepard's facial expressions are kool. A lot of others are, but I don't remember their names

I've been playing Assassin's Creed and I've gotten reviews that Mass Effect is even better. I'm going to rent it from gamefly, but I wanted to know whether to get it later and spare my grades at school from my addiction.

Damn I am about 12 hours in cuz I played all day this weekend. It's not WoW addicting so it won't affect your grades. But I sometimes think about what to upgrade when I rank up while in the middle of class.

I really wish I could VS Your Character (Anyone) with My Character... Cause... Holy Crap In 3 days I have Made Such a Killing (Both Literately and Figuratively)

Yesterday (or Maybe is was this Early morning >_>) I Got Meh Rich Achievement and was able to Got Prototype weapons with 3 upgrade slots that do at least 250-300 Damage Etc.

It Rulzorz.


Now My Shotgun can Really Kick your ass (got the Achievement for that too Actually >_> XD )
