Well, I recently went and rented "The Orange Box". As most of you know, it includes the game "Portal". I've been looking forward to playing it, and it has really lived up to it's expectations. Also, this game is AMAZING. If you don't have the money to buy it, you should definitely rent it.
What do you guys think about it?
EDIT : Well, here's a walk through link for anyone having trouble.

you put a portal on th spot where it hits then so it bounces into the other room then 1 where its going 2 hit then 1 on the ceiling so it falls onto the energy ball receiver

Ok, thanks. I got my dad to help me before I read your response.
He was only puzzled for about 30 seconds.
Also, what do you think about the game?

I enjoyed the puzzle solving, different from most games I play (FPS). I also enjoyed the story/dialouge(sp?). My only complaint is that it is pretty short. It still gave me a great amount of joy though.

Yea, I haven't beaten it yet. I just got it around 1 hour ago. Although, my progress is amazing. My friend said it took him around an hour to get to the level I was on in about 15 minutes.
I have gotten some help from my dad though...

I think it was a little too short/not challenging enough. I can't wait to see some user levels though...I have a feeling there's going to be some great ones.

Speaking of user created levels, I heard that even if I don't have Portal for the pc,(which I don't) I can still play them in G-Mod. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

I saw a video of a user-created map where you rescue the Companion Cube.

If I can find the video again, I'll post it.

Who doesn't?

My brother bought Orange Box for 360, and I bought Portal for PC.

Such an amazing game. Too bad it was so short.

Very fun game. I blew through the regular story mode in ~2 hours (including exploring and exploiting falling for an infinite amount of time, etc.). I had a much more challenging time with the Advanced levels, I had enough time to beat 5/6 this afternoon, they're fun.
Companion cube being a companion sphere was interesting. Turrets in those cases was interesting too. I think those are Chapters 8+9 on Advanced, try 'em out.
I'm looking forward to the time limit/portal limit ones too.

My copy of TOB should be arriving tomorrow or Wednesday (fedex tracking says Wednesday, and they're usually right)

Cool, have fun with it Kirk.

And if you haven't played through Half-Life 2 and the Episodes 1 and 2, I suggest trying those out as well. ;p
