okay we all saw how halo 3 ended, with disappointment if you ask me. it didn't make alot of sense to me unless its to start a new saga or series of the game. I personally like the idea of having what happened to the mc stay the same but have Kelly come back with the Doctor, i never read Go0 so im not sure if there alive or not from what iv read they are. Idk how you could incorporate this unless its like since earth has defeated the covenant they old alliances have come back and the remaining colonies are split between world powers now its up to the lost Super Solider to try and bring peace between the battle scared earth and unify it for the greater good. that could work or like in the halo 3 discussion they could just remake marathon which i never played but if the Spartans are in it then im okay with it. but the idea of having to fight a lost covenant planet not informed of the alliances is kinda scary especially if they have become more evolved than the rest of the covenant.

i say they bring a new species into this heres my idea of a new series start.
cortona wakes up MC saying theres a UNSC ship inbound to there position and it will only be a couple of minutes. when they pick up MC they breif him on a new species that have attacked the covenant and earth and they were on there way to the covenant home world when they found the beacon and picked him up. then the saga continues.

I think it would be cool if they made ANOTHER Halo, but this time, the Arbiter is the main character, and he travels to the next distant ring and finds a civilization of about 10 Spartans there.
Although that kinda goes against the books

And it just wouldn't make any sense at all. There are other Halos, but the Arbiter would have absolutely no reason to go there...he's going "home."

well if they would follow the books, could make a great extension to the saga. one other thing i always wondered, um the flood landed on earth how come they still arn't there we didn't get rid of them? or am i missing a cut scene from halo 3? i kinda like the marathon idea of having an planet not told about the alliances but if you follow the book linda was brought back after being blasted by plasma fire "at least i think" by freezing her body so why not have been able to do the same or at least clone the mc if he couldn't be found?

I'm assuming that they all died when some Covenant ships glassed parts of Africa in one of the cutscenes.

Ahh that is true, but it is possible that the humans ally with the elites and work together to stop the other Halo's from being activated.

There is nothing/no one who has any ambition to activate any of the other Halos at the moment.

Why? Flood is gone.
The only reason I can see for it being continued with the Arbiter is becuase on the way home something happens to them.

True True.
Besides, only humans can activate the rings. (Reclaimers)

Why make a sequel if they can make a prequel?

Halo Wars.
Anywhosser the answer is simple...
It will be about John as a whole (the "discovering self" angle) seeing how John is...Um >_> <_< SPOILER>The Child of the Forerunners<SPOILER>_> <_<
-OR-
Something more about the Forerunners, Hence... the Supposed Shield World.
Oh and by the way...Hint Hint and Wink Wink... Check when Halo 3 Ends...and Ads Begin.

seriously i want ur guys opinion wouldn't a halo type of fable be good, think your john, you got kidnapped to be in the spartan II program now you have to survive and complete the missions that sergeant assigns you, you go through all the missions, get to the augmentation part, then get the first variant of the spartans armor "i forgot how to spell mjlonier i think idk" then you go on your mission such as giong to the sigma Octavio system "again idk if thats correct lol" and defeat the covenant on the ground blah blah blah, basically follow the books up to halo ass in destroy the data strand on the space staion in reach's orbit then launch the jump into slip space that cortana calculated from the star patters that matched up with the data the covenant were feeding to there ships from Sigma system to halo., then well the part in between the mc defending earth and halo you could ad some twisters like the mc being picked up by a UNSC destroyer and surviving say so many mission on another colony planet before finally making it back to earth. then begin halo 2.

okay maybe not exactly like fable but i think if you started as a spartan with the v1 amour and played lvls where you defend colonies and work you way up to the destruction of reach it would be fun.
