4 Days 'till Halo 3...
My Brother was playing Gears of war yesterday and i have now got the the 3 Red Lights of Ultimate horror/doom/death/suffering. I Pre-Ordered Halo 3 a few months ago, and i am going to send my console to Microsoft... Obviously i can't wait a couple of weeks for it to be repaired. so i'm going to buy a new console but i don't know wether to get a Premium Xbox 360 or an Xbox 360 Elite.
What are the clear advantages of an elite and if i'm not planning on buying a 2048p 768976 inch HDTV, will it be worth it?

Wow.
Honestly, a video game isn't (shouldn't be?) worth $400 dollars...just send your console back and wait it out. Whoop dee doo, you won't get to play for a couple more weeks...don't buy a new one. Find a friend to play it with or something...

Couldn't your topic title be more civilized and less angry? I can see why you would be mad, but shadow is right, you don't need to blow an extra $300-400
dollars to play a game, go to a friends etc. Microsoft will repair your xbox and there you go, then you can play. But seriously..that $400 dollars can be put to something much better then another 360 if your just going to get your other one back anyway..

Sorry to sound like an very impatient person, but we ( me and brother ) could do with an extra xbox anyway, my prother downloads allot of stuff, and plays Gears 24/7 so i could do with an extra System to play Halo 3 on. And as fo waiting 2 weeks, a few of my friends xboxes have broken too ( Coincidently Playing Gears of War ) And one of them didn't get their xbox back for 2 months!

I can wait that long. It's just hard to do that with all this hype.

I got a 360 the day it came out, a year later I got the RoD. So I send it in they fix it send it back. About 1 month ago l I get the RoD again. So I send it back, they send me a new one. Now, this is the best part! Last Friday 5 days after I receive the new console I receive the RoD once again. I was pissed, it being so close to the H3 release. So I sold my 360 for $200 and bought a Core system at Best Buy, 1 day later I get a call on my phone, and an email saying I won a Halo 3 Console. I returned my 360 to Best Buy, I hadn't even opened it yet. I got a check back for my money. Though I basically got a free console, I was buying one just for H3, so I'd say go for it. Just go buy a new one.

if you have 2 systems just mod the core system. That way you can play halo on your new one, and mod halo on your core.

For me that wasn't possible. I am a huge Halo fan. That was why I bought one. Plus none of my friends nearby have a 360. They be all Wiifolk >_>
Plus why wait a month to play Halo 3? I was planning on selling the other console as soon as I got mine back from MS anyways. You can sell it for full price, or if you keep the receipt from Best Buy you can just return it for cash/check

Well so am I, but would I spend $300-$500 JUST to play it at release? No. I'd have patience, knowing that I would be way happy to play it when I got it.

You know, somehow I managed not to play Halo 2 until a month or so after it was released (and even then it was at a LAN party, I didn't "own" it) and then i didn't beat the game until it came out for PC, and I didn't even have the ending spoiled for me. Somehow I think you can wait a week.
