The Elite will be limited quantities only; that may be as much or as little as a couple hundred thousand.
The case, controller, and Live headset will all be black. It will have all new packaging.
Elite will cost $479, and will be a 3rd SKU; it will be sold alongside Premium and Core packs.
Eventually Elite hardware (in white plastics) will take the role of the Xbox Premium. That is to say, after the Elite is launched and sold out, future Xbox Premiums will have 120GB / HDMI.
We do not yet know exactly when 120GB / HDMI will become the standard for Premium, but it is loosely estimated to be late summer or fall.
Elite models run cooler than normal 360s, but they are not yet confirmed to have 65nm chips.
Prices may remain the same with the 120GB / HDMI hardware upgrade in the Premium Xbox, but we may still see a price cut on the line when 65nm chips start shipping.
The HD DVD drive will not be internal or bundled -- Microsoft never did or nor does not currently have plans to put an HD DVD drive in the 360.
There are no current plans to integrate WiFi into the Elite or future Premiums (although that can always change).
Meh, I won't buy it either. But this is what gets me angry about Microsoft, Why couldn't they just let us pick between Black and White from the beginning. I really don't care though, I already bought black casing for my 360 anyways ;p.
Edit: Wait I just realized, April issue... April fools. I believe the 120GB Hard drive. But the black Xbox thing...
Yawn. It's near the price of the PS3, which = lolexpensive, at least too much for me. I wasn't ever planning on getting a 360 all that seriously, anyway.

Racist.
Yes, I am purposly saying that to make all white pearl xbox 360's feel inferior to the blaq xbox 360's....Because you know as well as I do that the xbox 360's insides are so powerful that they are able to feel emotion and read what I say on an internet forum and then feel sad and give a red circle...

Technically its only me animating though
They should really consider integrating the HD DVD drive...
It makes perfect sense, and anyone with some hard modding skills can do it, why not just remove the hassle?
And integrating wifi would also be easy, seeing as you can just toss the receiver in the case and be done with it (I even did that on my original Xbox with a bulky Linksys receiver, the Ethernet cable coming out the back looked a little odd though)
lol, I'd buy it if I didnt already have a 360. I like the HDMI and 120 gb of hdd space alot, since I play a lot of movies on my 360 and always have to delete crap because I only have 1 gb left on my hdd. Im curious if people who bought premiums are going to get fucked out of the hdd thoguh, because I really dont want to have to pay for a new one. 20 gb are $100, so 120gb is like a billion bucks. I really don't care about color thoough because mine is currently silver, lime green, and blue.
A color change is not worth the extra money. However the 120 gb is. My Girl-friend plays FFXI and I have about 2-3 gigs left of room oh the HD. Id like to see an add on External HD, something kinda like a memory card only bigger come out. Id pay for that.

I just want to take the info from my 20 on to it, and to my knowledge, that can't be done.
I don't want to unlock all the crap all over again.
Your gamertag is actually stored on Xbox's server. You can access your gamertag on any Xbox 360 with an internet connection, you'll have to redownload themes and stuff. So if you do get a 120gb HDD, all you'll have to do is redownload your profile and you're good to go. I had to do it once when my Xbox Live file became corrupt and had to be deleted.

I am Aware of that.
Does it take care of Actual Game Data as well?
