so... just got this game for my pc recently, thoughts and discussion on it?
when i was installing it and about to play, i was all like "alright, this is gonna be fun." but then i played and realized that it was made for the PS2 and ported to the pc. the models, textures, and voice acting is horrible, but the animations make up for the models, and i guess the gameplay makes up for the rest. and where the voice acting phails, the radio is hilarious. plus, pc version allows me to use my own music files in-game as part of a radio station, all i have to do is put a shortcut to the song in the user tracks folder san andreas has.

Yeah, the xbox version has that, too.

GTA--Bad GFX, bad weapons, bad gameplay.
Grand Theft Auto=waste of money.
One of the worst games I think. It is incredibly pointless.
Storyline: Shoot a guy. Take money. Run from cops. Kill cops. Run from more cops. Steal car. Run over cop. Get out of car. Get shot in head. Repeat.

personally, i don't think it's a game you get for the graphics or story, it's basically do what you want without any real-life consequences. sure, it looks like shit, but it's amusing to do a drive-by with your gang, or just grab a car and use the sidewalk as an HOV lane.

Amusing for 10 minutes.
I bought it, played it for a while, threw down my controller and took it back.

You also forgot to add rape and kill women and take
their money too, to your story. Then you can repeat.

Exactly.
The only plus side of the PC versions of the games, are the hacks. There are a lot of pretty neat mods for those games.

Yeah, custom cars and such keep the game interesting once you've walked on every square foot of dirt and cement in the city (twice).

frankly most fun i ever had in the game was with a parashute and a jet being chased by all forces

i guess the novelty is still fresh for me. the last GTA game i played was vice city, back when i had my PS2. PS2 started having serious problems, so i traded it for an xbox, and got halo, and then got halo pc, and then i came here.
so ya see, i know it isn't that great of a game, but coming back to the super-open world sandbox style of gameplay after having none of it for 5 years or more makes it good. don't worry, i'll just get hooked on this for a few weeks, then get back to my normal rythm.
besides, i still say sidewalk driving is ftw.

If you like mafia games with story, I would recommend The Godfather or Scarface.

i kinda like GTA. I didn't liek most of the music in SA (not to pick it out...but its the most annoying

) but i used my custom soundtracks most of the time. The story was...eh.....wierd but i had fun modding it =P! i helped put a pelican in it a while ago.

GTA is always fun in my opinion. I like to jump on cars and stomp them until they magically catch on fire and blow up. ^_^

I don't like any GTA's really except for SA. Its really fun in my opinion. And for my xbox it all sounds fine.... =|.
Lol running from the army on a bicycle and jumping on roof tops with them. And jets, and ATV's, its all good =D.

I could never put my finger on it, but there was something that didn't feel GTA-ish at all about san andreas, but Vice City was the best! Easily one of the best games ever!

I disliked the graphical downgrade and the gun audio quality downgrade in SA...
VC and GTA 3 were very kool and fun
the innovations in SA were quite good but not enough for me to finish the whole game...
I think I'm going to end up the same with crackdown...But hopefully not...
Its like mcdonalds really...Good in small doses, but keep going and you'll feel sick
