I got one disc read error, and it makes some weird noises sometimes. I may call Nintendo to ask if it is okay or if I should send it in for repair. So far I've gotten to the maze and I'm pissed because I played through until I got to the end at which I found out I had to fight everyone.

I'm sure I will play it soon, but games like this are usualy worth owning.
It is.

I've been playing the campaign for 5 hours on Hard and I'm only half way through. Church must be a god at it to beat it in 3 hours considering it would probably take that long to just straight run through the levels. I would know, I'm damn good at this game and it's still taking a while. The campaign is different though. Not something I'd expect everyone to love, but I personally do. Has an interesting story, it's long, and feels like a whole other gaming experience at times. I took a bunch of screens for you guys, but for some reason I don't think it's going to let me take them off my SD card. Seriously, buy. this. game.

I disagree. I personally think SSBB games are extremely boring and have no real point to them.

Fun games the SSB...From what I've seen, brawl doesn't have the much improvement to it other the graphics balance and a few new features (which halo got ripped on for ;_;). So I'd say that it isn't worth buying a console for. I've never encountered a game where I can think "spending x hundred dollars on a console and x amount of dollars on this game would be worth it".

That being said I find the smash brothers games extremely fun with friends...In the same room. Its alright on your own or with AI (I'm treating online play as AI as you can't communicate or add friends through it) but with friends hours can be spent playing them...I also haven't played brawl but with the first paragraph, I feel I'm able to get an understanding at least about how it is.

In my opinion, the Wii, unlike the other systems, requires a social community around you while you play in order for it to be fun at all.

:D.. And It's ok Kirk, I stated that it wasn't for everyone in my post as well. There was a point where the Wii required a lot of social activity to be fun, but that factor is rapidly changing and won't exist very soon. My suggestion is to wait until the end of this year to buy the Wii; you'll be satisfied. Oh, and good news! I did some searching and I found a homebrew program that converts the BIN files that Brawl saves to the SD card to JPGs, so I'll try and get those screens up very soon.

INSANE, want to play later on?

I say we start listing our Brawl Friend Code things so we can all play.
The last part (I'm pretty sure it is) is damn tedious! I went through and now I have to go back and do a bunch of other stuff.
Can't wait to beat it though, Fun stuff.

Mine

Code: Select all

4639-8625-4819
EDIT: I am going to start a new thread dedicated to friend codes for brawl.

So you get your social community with it and have a blast :P

I have like 30 friends on my list who are all kids that I have been talking to for years... I sit down with my laptop on a box next to the couch while I play brawl... usually are in a IRC or AIM chat.... works great

Brawl is crazy fun if you have that community to work with.

@ whoever asked if THIS was worth buying a Wii for...

I couldn't ever say that one single game is worth buying a system.... (Halo is not worth buying a 360 for...)... but.. between this.. mario Galaxy and Mario Kart (coming soooooon) I'd say it's worth buying the Wii.

I got screen shots for everyone! These are kind of random since I just now got my converter working (It's a complex process), but I figured I'd stick them out there for you guys. I can do requests for those who want to see something about the game.

There are a lot, so just click me.
