Does that make it good though? I played TF2 at a friend's house, and was disappointed. By your logic, if a game has been worked on for a long time, that equates to quality? if that logic stands, the new Duke Nukem Game (Whose Original Release date was somewhere in the Range of late 90's) should be The best game ever on an epic scale.

Didn't get Portal, EP2, or TF2 on my own yet, Best Buy is Muffing the Shipment and my Orange Box is sitting in a UPS Transit Point in Rancho Cucamonga and should come sometime tomorrow.

Personally I don't like HL2 that much. I'm not sure what makes it so special other than the gravity gun.

It's the story, the interactive NPC's, the little things like the mini teleporter in the scientists (4got tehz name) secret room, the mysterious GMan, the aliens, the way things are built-up, the way physics are incorporated, the fact that the engine is world class.. the fact that you are just compelled to play it.. the strategy... =x

Yeah, HL2 was perhaps the only game that made me care about the characters.

Yeah Half-Life 2 has a great story compared to others. Team Fortress 2 was... ok... Wasn't really all that great in my opinion. Not better than Halo 3's multi-player, but I haven't even played Halo 3 that much since I got Call of Duty 4. Then when I do play it, I find my self bored and dozing off. I think Call of Duty 4 has one of the best multiplayer for the whole system.

I'm sure I would like it more if I was aware of its existence upon its normal release. Now that all these things have been done again in other games, and I have played these other games takes away from the love of the game. Maybe I'm just insane

Plus it's completely open ended and you don't need to be a genius to make a mod for it. Not to mention, it's just epic.

Ahh I just realized that.

EDIT: I guess I can't map it anymore because there is something that is making it freeze up every time I load up the map.

I got my map unbusted. Here is a couple pics of Challenge 01.

These aren't edited in any way, I did not add fake bloom, the bloom in the pics are what is in the engine.
