It is my professional opinion that Wii's are worth it.-DeToX- wrote:Maybe in your opinion. I wouldn't buy a Wii for anything that is 100$ or less...Dead XXX Matt wrote:Wii's are only 250. and its DEFINATLY worth it, i promise
Don't get defensive. I was merely asking; not assuming. And I was specifically referring to Brawl to clear things up with everyone else. It's quite a different playing game than the older ones; otherwise I wouldn't have brought it up. And I agree with Matt. I will be using the gamecube controller as well.Kirk wrote:And you're making assumptions. I've played the game many times with other people, and yeah, i've played it, I'm not that stupid.
i wont buy a wii till there are more then 4 games i want to play on it. Ill just find a freind with a wii and try it at his house.

i like them new special moves...
Well you said it in such a way. I was talking in general towards the entire series, not Brawl. I've never played Brawl, no, so it could be the best game in the world for all I know, but what I do know is that the ones i've played previous to Brawl were very boring, but that's just my opinion, not fact.SHOUTrvb wrote:Don't get defensive. I have a Wii-oriented profession at a Wii and Nintendo specific press site known as The Wiire. I've been working there for a couple of months now on the design team, but I also try and do reviews and look up press info when I can. During my time there and owning a Wii as well I have learned a lot about Wii and why one may want to buy it. It is my professional opinion that most gamers of many types can find at least one thing they can truly enjoy about the Wii.
Edit: My opinion does contain a little bias yes, but my point remains the same and is informed. It was merely an opinion.

I have a wii.
Played wii Bowling till I got to 1000..... Havent touched it since.
Collecting dust and being a cool paper weight is all it is for me.
I am waiting for the right game to come out to make me want to use it.
I am getting SMBB though.

Not removing this 'till I get back. Leaving on [01/05/09]
It's got a web browser in it...
Even though the new controllers can really add to a game, usually when I want to play a game I want to just relax and twiddle my thumbs and not wave them around. Still, it is quite fun when you have friends over but it seems to be oriented towards party sort of deals.
I believe my favorite character will be Meta Knight, he kicks ass! His special moves were shown yesterday or the day before that too, loven it!
One thing I am really hating about Wii's is their online abilities.. The games are so protected to "keep children safe." And I say they should have bluetooth keyboards so that after a game or even during it you can type messages to each other but of course I am sure they would say that is too dangerous..

It's not so much that it's not safe, even though it can be dangerous. The main issue currently is that Nintendo doesn't really have a set online system aside from their stupid friend code system and other random little things they allow in Wii software. However Nintendo knows their system isn't going to cut, so I'd think that we could expect a better online system a little later on in Wii's life.
