Bungie's Next Game?

Post by Yamagushi »

Figured this needed a topic. Theres been a lot of hints at this. Now to top it all off Bungie.net shows a countdown timer. And the well known "Keep It Clean" Slogan is shown. Discuss!
Don't be.

This is going to be the thread to discuss Bungie's announcement tomorrow. I'll open the thread when said announcement is about to be made. Topic creator authorized this use of his topic, and this way we won't waste time with the nonsense and we won't need another thread to be made to get rid of the clutter from the speculation, we can go straight to the actual game discussion.

I'm double posting so this shows as new.
Bungie's announcement was canceled by their publisher, Microsoft. It is not a hoax, it is not a stunt, it is real. There will be no Bungie announcement. Do not post about it, there is nothing to discuss. All news has been canceled. It has been confirmed by over 10 Bungie staff members, and by several Microsoft employees. It is not fake.

Newly appointed general manager of Microsoft Game Studios Phil Spencer, just hours before Bungie put up the message: We focused the E3 event on games that are coming this holiday, from a first-party perspective. If you look at the games we talked about in the briefing, the games that you will see – Banjo, Viva Pinata, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Lips, Scene It – these are all games that you're going to see this fall. That was the decision we made – we did the same thing last year, if you'll remember – to try and really introduce people to the games as they come towards completion, we'll show them what we have and what is coming. The relationship to Bungie and the projects that we're working on together – we don't have anything to announce today – but it's in our plans.

This E3 is about content for this year, that is why you did not see Halo Wars news, and that is why you are not seeing the Bungie project revealed.
