They're just assholes trying to market a magazine.
Goldeneye is coming back...
But that's not where they got it from.
They got it from the XBLA game, as had been blatantly obvious from the articles posted before you replied..

Compare that to the article about GoldenEye XBLA:

Blatantly obvious, about 30 hours before you posted. Just because you chose to not look at all of the information does not mean it was relevant for you to post something unrelated.

http://medialib.computerandvideogames.c ... 193319.jpgIn the new issue of Xbox World 360, we've got the inside scoop on the aborted GoldenEye project. An inside scoop that includes hands-on details and FOUR PAGES of dazzling new shots. No rumour. No speculation. Oh, and contrary to reports, comment from Microsoft too. Read on for more...
Yep, here's two new shots from the game, showcasing the fantastic job Rare have done, and a cheeky little quote from the feature too...
"Explosions and flame effects have been remade from scratch, and rows of trees and new in-game objects add a sense of presence to areas without affecting gameplay. The atmospheric changes are most apparent when playing the Jungle level, where every tree and plant has been rebuilt. Where a green wall at the edge of the arena fenced you in on the N64, now the wall has been removed and a new wall of foliage has been set several metres beyond the original boundary..."
Xbox World 360. In shops. Wednesday.

And then there's this comment:MasterChief2829 wrote:No rumor, No Speculation and they DO have a comment from Microsoft.
Confirmed that it is not being released on XBLA, and that the article's suggestions that 'fighting the man' will change anything is rumor and speculation. Microsoft was not contacted about it, Rare/whoever was working on it was. I'm going to trust Microsoft over a shitty magazine that knowingly misleads its viewers to sell its issues.Microsoft wrote:The story in Xbox World 360 is based entirely on rumour and speculation. Unfortunately, we were never contacted by the publication to confirm information or participate in the story in any way, as we would have confirmed that we do not have the necessary rights to release GoldenEye on Xbox Live Arcade.

Here's a petition I found for Goldeneye to be put on the XBLA.
I did not start this: http://www.petitiononline.com/rare007/petition.html

"You know what I'd like to be? I mean if I had my goddamn choice, I'd just be the catcher in the rye and all."
or should I?

No, that is not supposed to be offensive. Just a joke.

Petitions never work. Petitions don't pay for the projects. Petitions don't hold copyrights. Petitions are just a way of giving people false hope for a doomed goal. >_>Vaati wrote:Here's a petition I found for Goldeneye to be put on the XBLA.

And yes, the fact that an agreement involving Nintendo could not be reached was known, albeit not specifically, the important, core idea is the same.
