While that may be a good idea...A month is a long time to have to wait to even see if you will have more people to contribute. Especially like Halo1 xbox. Everyone knows there aren't many people left that mod it. I'd be annoyed if I had to wait another month JUST to see if somebody else would enter the MOTM for Halo1 xbox. Now, I will admit winning by default because of lack of entrance is also kind of weak...it's all for fun. So in conclusion, I think the way MOTM is handled is just fine. Like I said somewhere else, there is always a pro and con to tweaking rules of something. There is no, and will be no perfect solution.

I'm guessing because they are different platforms. Each mod competition inside this MOTM is categorized by which platform it was modded for. Also, if you grant those two into the same category...it would be unfair. Only because for genuine Halo1 xbox modders, I am fairly sure they have less options open to them to mod with.
