How has this happened...

Bear in mind this Vista installation is less than 3 months old, and bear in mind I've not so much as even had any Halo related files on my PC. And also that I haven't modded in over a year. How and where has this icon come from?

Have you run a search for the image file? The directory of the icon might help answer the question.

Some editing utilities might give that association, but I'm at a loss, as you say you haven't done that type of thing.
Weird.

I'd just assume that Vista has a predisposition to link .map files with Halo 2 Vista, even if you don't have it (bit of a stretch but that's all I can come up with).

H2 Vista. Check out what its associated with.
You shoujld definately use Halo 2 mods on Test Drive Unlimited.

That happened to me!
Ages ago. I never installed Halo 2 Vista, though. But I liked the icon.

So is the file associated with something? I changed the extension of a file on my new Vista installation to .map, nothing (naturally ;p)

Nope, asks me what I want to open the file with.
