After several years of his work, I'm not particularly impressed anymore.

His most recent Portable 360 inside that Pelican 1450 case was pretty impressive. Always kind of cool to look at his work, even though most of it can get pretty redundant.

Most the portables out are utterly pointless. Emulator on laptop = portable NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBA, etc. In reality the next gen laptops are just a console without a case put into another case with a screen.

Emulators really aren't as fun.
I personally think these kind of things are pretty cool. I'm contemplating going into this once I get a job this summer, it will give me something to do until I go to college.
But yeah, want. I looked around the site a bit, and there's some pretty cool things. I saw a 'portable' wood Gamecube that looked like shit, and was 10x bigger than the gamecube, heh.

There are so many adapters out there I don't see how it'd really be any different. http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-N64-2in1 ... 8565000168

Yeah, that's true.
That doesn't make this any less cool though :3

I think it's important here to point out that Ben Heck didn't actually do this portableN64.

That is pretty nice. Can't Nintendo sue them for that? Or only if they sell it? :o

Here in Canada modifications, game "backups" and etc are legal. Depends where he is really.

But he wouldn't be able to sell it no.

Though he could sell the service of doing it, if people provided their N64's. As long as he's not making money off the product, but the service, he should be fine.
