I thought I was bad, I raked up two or three thousand texts a couple of months ago, in a 30 day period.

I don't know how it works over there, but over here a text message has a character limit. If you go over the character limit, it counts as two, three, four texts, depending on how much you go over by. If that's also the case over there, this isn't as bad as it seems.

The only part I see as really stupid, is texting someone who's sitting next to you.

It works out to 484 text messages a day, or one every two minutes of every waking hour.
Good god...

I also have a character limit.

I personally think people text too much now anyways. The only time I ever text, is when:
I don't want to completely bother someone when they're out.
Typing Adress/Phone#, or info about something just so they don't have spelling issues.
When it's too loud and I can't hear.
Sending myself info to remember later.

The most I've ever clocked was 2,224 texts. That was during the CAT-6 testing months when I first got my phone. I'm intrigued to know whether or not her phone has a qwerty keyboard or touchtone, or uses any kind or form of autotext or smart texting setup.

I only text when people text me.
I find it to be horribly useless when you can just talk to the person.

Since this is such a big deal, I could get my friend on the e-news. His last bill said ~24,000 in 1 month. That's nearly 2x as much as this chick.

I don't even use that many.. And I'm usually texting my girlfriend.
I generally don't enjoy using my phone at all, but I've grown so used to texting her that I just do it.
This month I've only sent about 1,500 messages. It was probably a lot worse a couple years back.

Try living 180 miles apart, you text a lot more.

Why not actually call them? Like how a phone is supposed to be used.

You can manage more conversations than you can through talking.

I can't make calls during lectures.

I can't make calls at work.

I don't want to be on the phone when I'm watching a movie, playing a game or using the computer.

There are situations where it would be rude to be on the phone, but not so rude to send/receive a text.

It's often quicker and more convenient.

It costs less, for me.

I'd rather text my girlfriend every half hour of the day, then stay on the phone for the 16 or so hours I'm awake.

[Insert hundreds of other legitimate reasons here]

Why do you come to a modding site? Why not play the game how it's meant to be played? :P
