Also, this thread is not a Big Bang vs. Creationism thread, nor is the video. The video is simply a computer program that recreated the Universe and all of it's galaxies, and they fly through them. They also explain how far away everything is, and when you take a picture of the moon, it's what was happening 2 seconds ago, sun is 8 minutes ago, etc. etc. It's pretty cool.

woah. that really makes you think about how it all came to be. I still dont understand that wall of galaxies though.

I too think I missed something about the wall there. Their simulations were nice and robust, though.

That was pretty incredible. I can't wait to see what that new telescope can do.

My PC can run those simulations on High with 4x AA.

Seriously though, the Universe is so big... I think it's a waste of time and resources researching it. They should just focus on something (still massive and explorable) like our galaxy.

this is quite amazing.

an agreeable suggestion.

im sure we don't even know 1/1000000000000 of the information available in our solar system,
:P

This has motivated me to post my star simulation program.

In order to understand the galaxy we live in, i would guess you need to see how the rest of the universe behaves because its like asking whats the weather in australia when you live in alaska.

Eh, that's not really that good of a comparison but I guess it works. Except, it's like being on Pluto and asking what the weather in Georgia is like.
