i think they should try to forensically analyze the remains, to either confirm discovery of a new species, or determine what it actually is so people know.

The ocean spits out really odd things, though. If it's not something new, I'm going with the turtle without a shell, theory. But it doesn't look like anything I've ever seen.

I'm going with the Hell Demon. It looks too badass to be some turtle or dog. But if I had to guess a second thing, it would definitely be the manbearpig.

oh a de-shelled turtle almost makes sense, but that thing is huge!
i doubt this is anything realistically out of the ordinary....
if it isn't something that already exists its probably a hokes of some sort.

It looks much more like a dog than a turtle, of any sort. The legs are not characteristic of a turtle, at all, nor is the elongated tail, nor is the entire body. The sole reason for anyone to say it's a turtle of any sort is the front of the skull, which even then doesn't give any reasonable support to that theory. The body looks like a dog's, the tail is characteristic of a dog, and the teeth and paws/toes are as well. It has fur around its neck, meaning it had fur at one point, as a dog would. 99% of it has prominent features of a typical canine, the only thing to account for is the 'beak.' It's not a turtle of any sort, the skull is best accounted for as a raccoon, as it looks very similar. Actually yeah, it's a raccoon. Considering 100% of the features (Long legs, long tail, distinct snout and brow, toes, of the carcass can be accounted for in looking at a raccoon skeleton, it's no question in my mind, but let's continue to pursue unfounded claims of mystical creatures.
