The funny thing is... THATS ME!

Yesterday at about 2:10 me and my mom were sitting downstairs, eating breakfast. I heard a loud bang, sounded like my upstairs door was slamming, then about 10 seconds later it sounded like my tv fell through the upstairs floor. My mom and I ran upstairs expecting a mess and found a smoking blanket along with a hole in my roof. After dragging the extremely hot piece of metal out of the house we noticed that the cat was also heart. I then kept that cat alive for an hour and a half before we could get it to a vet. Later that night we had to put the cat to sleep, because of extreme head trauma.
Thank god my sister left for her friends early or else that shell piece would have went right through her.

What happened is a piece of shrapnel from Picatiny Arsenal flew 2 and a half miles, a mile and a half offcourse, and flew through our house at what the military said at about 250 miles per hour.

If everyone tunes into channel two news in about 5 mins you'll see the story.

That must of sucked. Still, kudos for getting on the local blog/paper.

I can't say I've ever experienced something like that and hope I never do.

Yea, It seams so surreal. I still can't believe it. It was the most wierd/scarry thing I ever experienced.

That's hilarious, sucks about the cat though.
Maybe you'll get a million dollars from the military. Or sue them for 2billion dollars, thats about what? 2 days of military expenses?

Yea, I am. My parents had some problems with each other and so I decided to move with my mom... In Jersey.

Yea I'm just about to leave for NY.
