QI, or Quite Interesting, is a half hour program that has been running on BBC for years now. Each series is based on a letter, the last one being 'E'. QI does what is says on the tin. It is essentially a comedy, but it is filled with curious and interesting titbits. I would link to the episodes in the you tube thread, but they have been taken down. :cry:

In this thread, discuss anything QI related or anything interesting that you have learnt from it. :P

One thing i have learnt of QI is that the real number of the devil is probably 616, not 666.

That depends on where you're coming from. If I remember correctly...

Nero's number was 616, so that would be a reason that it'd be the devil's number.

However, if I remember my number symbolicism correctly...

7 = "goodness"
3 = "wholeness"
6 = "less than 7, so imperfect, or evil"

666 is therefore, complete evil, having 3 6's in it.

On the show Stephen fry said that the guy who wrote down that the number was 666 had read said where were it said it was 616. He couldn't remeber except for the fact that it had 6 in it so he wrote down 666.

QI is on Sunday at 9 on Dave, Freeview channel 19. (UK only Yanks!)

You can get deep fried chocolate bars around here. They're kinda a novelty thing, but I've seen them around.

Septic tank -> Yank --> Septic

"I'm not anti-septic"
