Today is GMP's 4 Year anniversary.
Hey, I realized this as I was sitting here pondering life, that I've been on this site for over 4 years now.
What are greatest memories, what do you think of us at the present moment, and where do you think we'll go in the future?
Discuss.

I just realized that my third is coming up very soon. I've been here for way too long. My greatest memories were when I was but a young designer learning from Evolved and TheMadModder's contests and kick-ass designs. When Kirk still went by his actual name, mac_user, and Malf got to be a Moderator for a day. The sad truth is however, for us who have been here for that long, will no longer have such memories. I however hope new users can feel a similar experience and waste as much time as I did on this site. They are the future.

I became active a few months ago, I think. So I lack any real, old, memories of this place.gmp_gmp wrote:What are greatest memories, what do you think of us at the present moment, and where do you think we'll go in the future?

I do however remember our effort to get AI into Halo 2 Multiplayer maps.

It is expected, and demanded.Tural wrote:MrMurder, we're going to hold you to that promise.
I miss the users forums... but, I'm glad for the merge, because the users forums were so dead before it... sometimes it took a day to actually read a nice post from there. If it weren't for the inactivity, I would still miss it. But, I like the results of the merge so far, and I had a totally wrong impression of those that went to the files forums.iGeo wrote:I miss files.halomods.com

Yeah, the files forum had all the content, so it had all the users for the most part. The users forum was just fun cause it was more of a place to chat more than anything.iGeo wrote:We never really had that problem on files.
I have nothing against the merge really, but I still preferred the files forum.

I remember the spamming from the big man, and that other dude who always gave out image awards for things.
I remember low8 and all the contriversy with High6. I remember the days of ScottyGee's moon mod and the beginning of mimesis.
Ah, Good Times.
Edit: Woah, I've been here for two years.
The first thing I ever did on Halomods was ask if I could just replace the map files with a ppf, and then almost got banned for calling HornyHornyHippo a jappanese bastard.

Narker's Marker.
Solra Bizna.
Me thinking that projectile swaps were the shit.
HaloModsCafe ;_; (Yes, I know I never go on IRC, Danke.)
Recruiting for Staff as an Arbiter.
Good ol' 3+ years. Fun people here...the merge is awesome, in my opinion. Without it, JK and me wouldn't know each other, and I wouldn't have known about the Year Zero listening party.
