Snowboards

Does anyone here snowboard? If so, what's your ride? Do you recommend it?

I'm personally looking for a new set, since my last is pretty much shot.

Wow you must not board a lot, a cool looking one isn't always one made out of the best materials.

I have been snowboarding for about 8 years now and I swear by Burton, I myself have a Burton Canyon 156 with Burton fusion bindings and a dakine stomp pad. Your board can be any size that your comfortable with, but beginners should get one at their chin first to learn both control and speed. Any other boards from other brands had crappy materials that either wore away, cracked, and in one case snapped in half. Burton can be expensive, but it was the first and its quality. If your still unsure go to a demo, they are free and are usually held for a week at most ski/snowboard resorts. You need an ID or your parents ID to participate, and you get a whole day or a set time with that gear.

I like my ride, I've used it in local races and won 5 times, its 3 years old and still no structural damage or wear. Though next year I'll be getting a new one, probably shorter for more speed (less friction) and sharper more responsive turning which means it will probably have a metal or high quality wood core.

I bought my newest board last year for $220. It's a Head Board, and I love it. The design on it isn't too crazy. It's really smooth, and fits me well. It also came with free pair of Head Boots, which are also great. They are Clip-ons. I recommend HeadBoards. I've been using them for 6 years, and loved them all. They also aren't that pricey. The board I currently have now came out last year, It doesn't have the name on it, and I forget it. All I know is it was designed for Free ride, and all mountain. I'm not much into freestyle, I've never been into tricks that much. I'd rather ride for fun, than compete in tricking.
