Any ideas on how a 13-year-old could raise 2k?

For 2,000 bucks, this has got to be the best deal ever.

So I was just trying to play WoW on my crappy laptop when it froze and I had to restart. Except, I couldn't--my computer just had a blank screen after I chose to boot up normally (since I held down the power button). Every few seconds I can hear the hard drive making a strange sound sorta like "eh-eh-eh", which doesn't seem good.

So if my computer really is broken (I sure hope not...) I need a new laptop. Yes, it must be a laptop. So I go onto my sister's computer and find the one above. I knew I could always trust Toshiba. Meets all my requirements for a dream computer, and exceeds, like with the dual 8600M GT cards? Sold.

Problem is, I am broke. I mean, I have some change and a dollar lying in my room, but besides that I am dead freaking broke. With the snow season coming up, I'm thinkin I could shovel some snow, but that'll never get me up to my 2k goal. Any ideas on how I, living in my basically suburban neighborhood, could make this much money within a few months? I'm willing to do anything.

Whore yourself out to pedophiles. <_< 20 pedos, $100 each or 2 pedos, $1000 each. >_>

Hmm, good idea Gir.

And yes, of course, I'll start shoveling snow.. you can't really wash cars or cut lawns in winter. But it's still fall so idk. There's some other kids doing lawns and what not so I'll probably have to wait till winter to make $

EDIT: Actually, its not a bad laptop, but it has stuff like HD DVD or hooge HD storage that you could always buy later.

Make some new grown up friends in chat rooms or on myspace who will pay for it.

You'd be better off building a better computer, for less money.

I suggest getting a Job. More than just snow shovelling. See if your parents' friends own any small business where they can pay you minimum wage (or a bit above) under the table doing manual labor, or clerical work. I made about $1,200 for a few months working at $8.50 Per hr. just sorting, filing, and cleaning at an office building.

Hmm, thanks for the suggestions guys. Here's my feedback...

GIR-That looks pretty good. But it's just not as good-not as sexy looking, not a 17 inch screen and not as big res, so idk... if I can't get 2,000 bucks, maybe I'll look back at that. Thanks though

Warlord-Why the heck didn't I think of that?!

Dissolution-No one's going to pay 2k for a laptop for some kid they hardly know...

Junkfoodman-I need a laptop. No way I'm building a laptop by myself :p

Cuda-Well, my friend's dad owns a couple of pool and spa stores... It'd be hard though. I mean, it's not easy to go to your friend's dad and say "can I work for you for minimum wage so I can get a new computer?" I'd love it more than anything to work at a real job, but I'm underage, and I don't even think it's legal for someone under 15 to work for money unless it's like a family business.

Mike-umm... I'll look into that :)

Actually, it does have the same resolution, its just not 17inches.

Are two extra inches really worth it? ;) (srsly, that's the only difference between the two that I see, and I'm not so sure that 2in is worth $500 >_>)
Plus, 4GB of RAM.

Building a laptop is tough... Pretty much 99% of the time you're better off just buying one.

See if any local Diners want to hire you. Like small diners, not restaurants.
I was working at one, age 13. I made about $8 and hour, and sometimes more.

Not a problem for me, being that I am a pro DJ. I get 2 bar/batmitsfas for 1 grand a piece, I can easily get it! :)

Good for you. That's not the discussion here.
