Yes, that's right. more wildfires have broken out again in Southern California! the fires started yesterday.
At least one person was killed, and dozens were injured. Scores of homes and other buildings were feared burned, and thousands more were threatened as more than a dozen blazes formed a hellish, spidery pattern of luminous orange covering at least 310 square miles of the drought-stricken region.
My school is being shut down for a few days, thank god! the fire is no where near La Mesa, but it is in san diego, the county i live in.
So far, my Aunt had to evacuate at 5 in the morning, and just got to come back to her house.

No school today or tomorrow. I might be evacuated soon. I'll be good as long as the evacuation region stays south of Highway 78. :D

I feel really bad, I know for a fact it wasn't me but on the way home from a football game on Saturday night, and a giant piece of cardboard flew out the back of a pickup and landed under my car, got stuck on the rear axle, and started sending dozens of small embers shooting out the back of the car, this was on the I-5 I think, we pulled over and got the cardboard out, but a couple pieces stayed lit on a off ramp and we could do nothing about it. We did call 911 though.

One of my brothers lived down there. He said that he smelled smoke, went outside and saw shit out in the distance so he went on a drive down there and got some pictures but they didn't do justice. That was north of Malibu, by the way.

My cousin lives there, he said he woke up and the sky was almost completely black this morning.

I just thought it might have been me because they said on the news there was a reported fire on a off ramp on the I-5. Then that made me believe it was us, then they said the wind was clocked in at 180 mph over there. :(

thats how the sun was about 11:40` around lunch time at school today. My dad had to help evacuate a co worker's house while he was out of town, and Fallbrook, I heard, (Ghost, correct me if I'm wrong,) was almost entirely evacuated. But I'm bummed, My house and my laundry smell like a smokehouse now.

Yes, Fallbrook was evacuated, but I'm a bit south of there. I'm more worried about the big one to the south of me, I just hope it doesn't hop the 78. :|

Well, yeah, i know you live in Vista, I was pondering whether or not I should look you up while we stole apples from the Farmer's market over by Lincoln Middle School. I'm just worried about my grandparent's house, They've been out of town all week, and just got notification from friends in Julian that Fallbrook was being evacuated and we might skip school and work tomorrow and load up documents, paintings, pictures, and the pets.

I'm surprised they're keeping you in school, with air like that...

Edit: Here's a pdf map of the evacuations and fires. It's been fairly well updated throughout the day so you can just refresh it to see new stuff.
