OBE out of body experience
well this occurred to me because well i like feeling relaxed and not having to worry about concerns of life here is 2 links the first is how to acheive one according to Robert Monroe who claims to be able to control himself to initiate the OBE http://www.near-death.com/experiences/paranormal11.html the second is a page describing what OBE's are and how people think of them and what and/or how religion conflicts plus lots of other stuff http://www.allabouttheoccult.org/out-of ... rience.htm
I haven't tried to have one yet, my friend had one the other day he had come home after school he had been over at our other friend chanclers and was helping him with his truck stuff. he came home was sitting in the most relaxed spot and staring at his fan. He went into a relaxed state and was thinking of nothing, every now and then homework would creep into his mind but he would push it out. after a long enough time he said he left his body and had the pulsations in his blood as stated in how to have one "note he didn't even know what an OBE was till the next day when he researched what happened" he calmed the pulsations and then left his body, he said he saw himself in the 3rd person, more accurately he saw his body sitting there staring at the fan. then he lifted out of his house and when higher and higher till he had an aerial view of our home town "i had heard that if someone has had this experience you can show them pic's of what they have seen and they can identify everything i haven't tried this yet with my bud" but he has never seen an aerial view of our home town ever. after that he went south and went through our little forested area in the county and continued from there east to the sea before he returned to his body, it only lasted 20 mins but he was freaked by what happened didn't do his homework lol and then went to bed. the next morning he researched what happened and told me about it and i have done this little bit of further investigation into it. time to discuss lol.

That's easier to do than you might think. Everyone has that thing that gives them ultimate peace. For me it has always been music. Music is something I love deeply, so often times I'll play guitar or get some Worship going to help my mind stray from the bad day. There is such a thing as a "natural high", you just have to find what gives it to you.

The only OBE ive ever experienced was when i was in hospitasl when i was 13 or 14 i was in intensive care unit in southampton, i saw my self on what i belived at the time as my death bed woke up and found 2 consultants and about 4 nurses surrounding me...
I found out next day after a very hectic night that i had been 30 minutes to death.
In a few months time il be 20 years old but i still am haunted at night by flashbacks of what happened.

Well not really no...the fact i had been dying due to the condition for a lengthy time before hand probably had some sort of effect on that kind of thing happening.newbymodder wrote:so you only saw your body not a light or anything? you know like a near death experience.

i have only had one, it wasn't all that special, but it was very strange at the time. i went through the normal procedure as described in the first link, and i was able to grab onto the ceiling, which i was then able to life myself up out of my body, and fly up into the clouds. it only lasted about 5 minutes, not all that great.
i'd rather have a near death experience than an OBE for one simple reason: to prove god's existence to myself, and finally grasp onto what religion is right for me.

no not so much, i believe strongly in Christianity and from what iv read of the bible it seems like this could be considered wrong but i don't think its justified there isn't really anything bad with having or making yourself have an OBE i don't want power just a way to relax myself. And well it sounds like fun to go flying around.
