Boy Nearly Killed Trying To Cool Xbox 360

While his mother was away the boy had taken the power supply and wrapped it in plastic and tape. In an attempt to cool it off, he submerged it into a pan of water with the cord still plugged in. The boy had regained consciousness by the time paramedics had arrived. He was taken to the Transylvania Community Hospital in Brevard where he spent the night.
Aside from getting knocked unconscious the boy only suffered small burns to his right hand and foot.
any thoughts? I personally think this kid is dumb to not know that water conducts electricity. I mean, even I knew that, and I learned that from pokemon for god sakes!! why would you stick a console, knowing it has airvents and fans to cool itself down, in water, and still think that it cannot be destroyed by placing it in water, let alone with the cord still attached and plugged in. What was this kid thinking???
Any thoughts on the matter?

Water+Electricity/=/ (doesnt equal) COOL
WATER+ELECTRICITY=PAIN! or death...

It depends on how long it was actually unplugged... If it was unplugged for a while, probably not, but if for 5-10 minutes... ZAP!

i get shocked daily and ive never been knocked unconscious
even when i was 3 i got shocked all the time and never needed paramedics

The kid shouldn't have even had the console plugged in if it was overheating enough for his brain to contemplate the idea of submerging a fucking 120 volt electrical converter in water while still plugged in, if even submerging it at all.....Dumbass...

Wow, that kid is an idiot, he could have been patient and waited for it to cool down but nope instead he gets shocked and doesn't get to play his 360 after all.
