Scary Movies and Sleeping

I just watched Dawn of the Dead today. It was a pretty good movie; not really too scary but 100% psychological. I am afraid to go up stairs alone now, and then once I finally get upstairs, falling asleep is going to be a little tougher :?

Can you guys ever sleep after watching scary movies? I am terrible at sitting through horror films. Hell, the first Lord of the Rings with the orcs scared me when I was 11.

take solice in the fact that you're safest from actual zombies upstairs as opposed to on the ground level. the virus that takes over the frontal lobe cannot use it effectively, so they have trouble with stairs, at which point you'll be woken up by their moaning and previous failed attempts at scaling the stairs. but i still reccomend sleeping next to a shotgun/sword/both.

I used to a few years ago. I'm fine with it now. I can watch the scariest ass movie and go down in my dark room, or even in my pitch black room and be perfectly fine. And I don't have any problems with sleeping, either.

When I saw the exorcist when I was about 10...I laughed my ass off, my parents found it strange... I just don't get freaked out by scary movies. I mean I jump when something pops out at you...but that's it.

i love scary movies, ive been looking for more of real life situations lately thoughm, like scary vids on youtube, but once in a while ill watch an excorsism movie, if i spelled it right.

Tey give you adrenaline. thats kind of why i watch them. Lately ive been waiting for an actual scary movie to come out, but all ive seen lately has just been gore, and disgusting.

edit: the thing that actually scares me is, the prophets that have had all the major events leading up untill present correct, say that at this time period, not this year in speciffic, but in this time period, the dead will rise from the graves, and that creeps me out.

Scary movies don't bother me much. Reading scary stories though, that freaks me out. NEVER read John Dies at the End at night, with no lights on. Never.

I love real life stuff, though, like Battery. Actual ghost videos and other paranormal stuff are fascinating, and me and a friend are planning to take a drive around the Salt Lake valley and go to supposed haunted places.

I always have something that can be used as an effective anti-zombie weapon near me, especially when I'm sleeping. Sadly, the house I live in now is only 1 story and an attic, so I don't have much defense :(

I think that people who believe in zombies are silly. :P

those without a zombie plan will die a horrible death...My plan will succeed :P

But anyway, unfortunatley I don't get scared by scray movies...I say unfortunatly, because I've sat through many scary ones but not been scared, so I'm at the point where I feel I'm missing out and want to be >_>

I dislike the gore though.

And JK, one can't watch a movie in pitch black really :P

Pretty much exactly the same story for me, right down to the Exorcist detail give or take 2 or 3 years of age.

I was never really afraid of Horror movies. They just don't really appeal to me either.

Eh, here's my opinion on horror movies. I prefer psychological horror over the type that makes you jump out of your seat, or the type with excess gore. I don't really mind the gore, but when movies try to use that as the only thing going for them, I'm turned off from them. I'm pretty resistant to horror movies, though.
