I am leaving for boot camp on June 6th of this year, and I ship out to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. I have been an active member of the Army National Guard for... I dunno, about three months, and I attend drills each month in Springfield, Illinois.

I am very sad that I will miss all of the revolutionary breakthroughs over the next two months (Well, nine weeks, to be exact), because we all know what can happen in a time period as short as two months.
I'm going to have about a million pages worth of topics to read through...

Anyway, I just wanted to see how many of you here support and appreciate the US Military, especially those sent to Iraq, Afganistan, and other nations where they spend time in hostile territory. I could very easily be shipped off when I return from training (I have nine weeks of boot camp, a semester of school, then six weeks of AIT, or Advanced Individual Training).

For those of you wondering, my MOS is 25U. I will be a LAN Manager, basically taking care of a PC network. But, mind you, I will still go through the same Basic Combat Training that the infantry do, and I could very easily be shifted to an Infantry.

If you support the Military, please let me know. If you don't, then that's fine, because you have the right as an American not to, but I want you to know that I will fight for each and every citizen of the United States.

I don't care to see everyone b****ing at one another over this. If you have a reason as to why you're against the Military, state evidence.

This is not evidence. I realize that this is your opinion, and I respect that, but you do not have anything to back it up.

No. I do not support the U.S. or their military, although I do plan on joining it.

Yes I do. They fight to protect our freedom, why shouldn't I support them?

We would be in America, rather than iraq, getting killed and killing innocent civilians.

I don't want to see people argue. I'd just like some support. Even if you're against the Military, it would be nice if you could support someone who stepped up and is risking their life for yours. It took me a LONG time to decide to enlist, and it would mean the world to me to get some support from all of you here at HaloMods rather than see people bashing the Military.

I never said I didn't support you. At least not because you're joining the military. Plus you don't have to "risk your life for mine", you chose to, plus it's not like I couldn't protect my own life, if I wanted to.

The point is, my opinion is that the military is completely useless, but I have no problem with you joining it, and I support your decision to, although i am 100% sure it's different from my reason to one day join it. Too bad you're leaving though, you seem like an ok guy.

I support the people on the ground, the people who fight and have the will power to believe so strongly in an ideal that they give their lives for it. No matter what angle you look at it, that is devotion, and that is courage. You can't deny that.

i dont support the U.S military as ive seen more bad things come from it than good[ive seen alot of reports and other types of media...] i could post a few links showing what i mean but then id be flamed and hit with a strike by a mod [not like ive seen a mod issue one out for nearly a year now....]

I support you, not your military... well maybe I do when they're not killing the people of my country by accident.
