Before you guys begin to read this, Note this was the official post by HRH Admin Matt6908. I am part of the staff team and known as Zack over there. This is more of a huge release and useful source to the Halo Community, which is why I believe it deserves it's own topic.
At High Resolution Halo, HRH for short, we try to provide you (the community) with the highest quality images possible from Halo 2. Whether it be screenshots, renders, medals, matchmaking ranks, emblems, HUD pieces, or cutouts, we have it. We try to have them at the highest resolution possible to make your job easier. As of now our supply on things is limited, but we do have hundreds of images on our site and we are adding more daily. Feel free to browse the selection of our ever growing gallery for whatever you may need. Also, if you would like to submit content, then please
contact one of us.
Special thanks to Bugtap for spending 2+ weeks coding our gallery and Crazymik3 for coding the template portion. You guys are the best.
At this time we have a sub domain and are looking into buying a primary domain. We should have one in time.

That's pretty freakin' sweet. It'd be more sweet if they were SVG files as well. Wink.

What is an SVG file?

I don't really like any of the renders, but the rest of the site is pretty cool (namely the ranks).
Nice job.

It's a format used by Adobe Illustrator to make nearly infinite resolution images. PDF works the same way, kinda. The file has information of where paths go, and it can be then output into any resolution and DPI that you want.

Oh, that would work out awesome. Unfortunately, I don't have adobe illustrator, we make everything with the pen tool in photoshop. I was planning on releasing a shapes pack of all the emblems though. We'll see what happens. Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm glad you like the site.

That's exactly how Adobe Illustrator works. It's a super-powered version of the PS pen tool.
But actually, releasing a shapes pack would work as well, and that would be just plain awesome.

So in a nutshell, it's a vector image instead of a bitmap?!
I like the site idea, but the current photography/screenshots are rather bad.

Yes, at a much larger resolution. And what would you suggest to make the screenshots better?

use a more advanced stitcher like photoshop, not autostich. to reduce the image curve. and perhaps more unique high res shots

I agree with GTAF. I know TheGuardian has done better renders than that, he should the better ones rather than the material tests.

No fish eye, correct FoV, DoF effects and better angles /post shooting effects.
