I don't play XBL no more but I just would like to let everyone know that they are reseting ranks, no joke. So what ever you do don't play matchmaking for ranks for a while.

yea Im so happy, I went into like 30 party's with cheats and told them, one guy was really loud and screaming no then I told him to go to bungie.net and showed him where it said it and he sound all sad and depressed rofl it was the best feeling in the world

but anyways I got my rank legit once and I can get it back again no problem im just glad they lose their ranks

but anyways im not going to "derank" I really dont play for ranks I just wanna have fun

Considering that is the only thing you get out of cheating.

Halo 2 rank directly correlates with E-penis size.

No, I care about the skill (sort of), effort, devotion, and patience represented by the number next to my name in the playlists. They're trophies in a sense.

People who cheat just do it because "o lol the symbol lookz cool" or whatever. Their ranks are shallow and meaningless.


I really enjoyed getting higher up in the ranks because the games are highly competitive and it's very rewarding to earn a high rank for the games that you win. It's just cool to be able to look at the rank and realize that it represents all the time you've spent looking for games and all the people you've beat. Resetting the ranks doesn't help anything and it's really foolish of Bungie to do this.

And now you can enjoy that competitive nature again. Bungie is doing you a favor. ^_^

I enjoyed the games. I didn't enjoy the ~4 hours I waited for each game. I know I'm going to have to put up with that again, I know I'm going to have to play countless cheaters again, and I know I'm going to have to deal with whiny emo derankers on my team all the time. Getting to 40 was an accomplishment and I stopped there because I liked being there and I was happy with what I'd accomplished in Team Slayer. I shouldn't have to do it all over again.

Nobody's forcing you to do it again. If it's really that important to you, you'll just have to do it again.

The point is that the reset accomplishes nothing and it's unfair to do that to those of us who worked hard to get to where we are now.

I'm sure it accomplishes plenty. Do you think the guys at Bungie just sit around and say "How can we piss off our fans today?" - No. They go through a lot of work to determine what needs to be done. They have reasons for everything.
