Hello...
A lot of you Know Myspace As a Social Networking Site..
And then again, Some of you know it as Pure EVIL!
Well, I'm hear to See what the Halomods community thinks.
What do we know about Myspace?
- About 63.8% of teens ages 12-17 Have one
Source (And I myself did a couple Polls and calculating)
- It can be Very Addicting
- Many people learn HTML by using Myspace
- It requires Little Knowledge to Navigate/Use
- Many people have had a Decent Relationship because of Myspace
- A good way to Listen to Music if your poor
What we Hate about Myspace.
> It Brainwashes most people and they become a "Myspace Whore"
> Some Young Teens have became a Victim of a Sexual Predator over Myspace
> Myspace is the main reason Kids are Always preoccupied on the computer
> Internet Lag
I myself have a Myspace...
But It can be very useful...
I met many friends I thought I would never see again on Myspace.
I can talk to Family members across the world for free.
I didn't become interested in HTML until Myspace.
But the point of this, is I want to hear your opinions.
Check My myspace
Here
Thanks.

Flaws:
-Same facial expressions in each picture.
-People become absolutly whores about it (omg havn't checked in five minutes!)
-I know a kid who actually asked for a comment because he didn't get one that day.
-People (typically preteen girls) are begining to dominate it.

So does every other decent website.

If you can't spend $10-20 on a CD, or $0.99 per song on iTunes, you're probably too poor for internet access.

Not people like jks, they have other creative pursuits to follow.

Not MySpace specific... :/
kthxbai. I don't use MySpace just because there's no individuality, and people get seriously annoying on it. OMG! SAIM KAMERA ANGEL AS 29382813 OTHUR PPL, BUT DIS TIME ITZ KEWL KUZ ITZ ME LOL.
BTW DID U GET MY MESSG YT, CUZ IF U DIDNT THEN I WLL SPAM UR INBAWCKS LOL.
That is the extent of anything I've ever had to do on MySpace when I tried it.

sorry but no. how many people do you think actually close their tags? and most people get their html from some other site. they may learn a little html, but they don't learn how to do it correctly. i do like having a myspace, sometimes my phone isnt working so myspace or aim is how i keep in touch with some of my friends. but a lot of people are on are hella lame and addicted.

There's no reason to have a MySpace page unless you're desperate to meet new people for some reason. Instant messengers for friends, and socializing in real life to meet new people. kbai

Ah, But I have had many relationships and found so many people I used to be close to but our friendship had become a victim of "Moving"...lol

I like myspace for the following reasons:
-It fills in boring time
-I can see upcomming shows of my favorite bands
-I can talk to friends
That's all I use it for.

Excellent reasons indeed.
See, so many of my friends have a Myspace.
Friends I don't get to see very often.
And sure, Instant Messengers are also a very good idea.
But some of my friends aren't smart enough to use instant messengers...lol
Also, Pictures of friends and what not..
Of course some instant messengers have the ability to use Pictures.
But Instant Messengers don't have a completely customizable page you can use to describe yourself.

I take many many photo's of my life...I use myspace to upload them as it is a popular domain where my friends seem to enjoy ehanging out...So I can basically show my friends my photos instead of having to burn a cd or emailing each person or whatever...
Well, my main reason was to talk to a friend who has gone overseas, it is quite expensive through other means so yeah...
I find it quite strange that such a site can become so popular...Once you've got your real friends on there, whats there to do? Message them? WOWZERS! But I just saw you 5 minutes ago at the club, and you have a phone too...hmmm
Oh, and I find it hilarious that people go to the effort of making bots that create a profile with the same "about me" shit, just with a randomised name and profile picture which just goes around adding friends so they can have THE HIGHEST FRIEND COUNT IN THE WORLD! how's that for an epenis?

I hate when random people I do not know send me friend requests.

True That.
And when you ask who they are, they say something like...
"u dont no me but u looked cool"
Or
"cuz ur hot"
I could be a Child Molester for All they know!

The greatest part about it is when people actually take it seriously, and meet new people. This one lady sent me a friend request to try and meet me and get in a relationship with me. XD. She wrote me an entire letter saying how she liked my myspace, and how we should get to know each other. Can you say lolfriendrequestdenied?

People do not learn HTML via MySpace. They copy and paste off-site text and claim it as their own.
Also, they hardly ever get anything correct. People close <br>'s, <img>'s, and I have even seen <image sauce="my_image.jpg">.
Brilliant.
And I won't even go into <table>.

I agree, but I have learned HTML from Myspace...
And so I have Practiced...
I would not have done it if I didn't have a Myspace..
Oh, W3 Schools also helped...

And you've got to love the off-site coders too.
