As much as I dislike the RIAA, you shouldn't be too concerned about being found guilty, right? I mean, I'm pretty sure you would have to be doing something like downloading music to get charged.

Considering the fact that you blatantly said you were lying, I'd suggest removing that.

Stupid RIAA.

It also bothers me that you don't know how to correctly spell the word "friend", based on your edited post.

I kind of look at it this way: I'm never going to buy music anyways, I frankly am channeling my money into other things. If the record label will never get my money in the first place, then what's the harm?

They shouldn't be allowed to do this.

An IP does not equal a user. If someone takes a gun that you own and kills someone, should you be punished?

Should you? no, would you? yes.

I'd like to mention that Congress hasn't passed any laws that prevent us from transferring music over peer-to-peers, not yet at least. And, there are some artists who actually support it. (I'd consider them crazy, because no one is that into making music that they just make it for people to listen to)

i can name a few who would most of them are punk bands. because we all know no rappers gonna let you download his music for free. he needs it too get his gold plated grill :P

and you know one of the comments said "why dont all the hackers stop their war on windows and take down the RIAA servers" i would be willing too do that unfortuneatly im not very experianced in that specific area of computers... although i wish i was cause thats a great idea! :D

Hahaha! you're awesome :D

But as for this its so fucking annoying company's desperate attempts to control something that it so obviously out of their control. When I buy music, I don't want no rootkit I don't want no DRM, I don't want to be restricted to only listening to it on one mp3 player for 3 days or 3 listens... Because of all this shit, I'm not surprised that some people do turn to p2p because all mediums of buying music legally has its own laws to abide by.

I hate how they also pushed for many mp3 player companies to get rid of the radio feature because if people record stuff, its obtaining music illegally >_< WHAT IF I WANT TO RECORD MY FAVOURITE STATION AND LISTEN TO IT LATER? Oh but that's what podcasting is for right? Having to then get home, find and download the freakin' thing from the internet and then transfer it and listen to the freakin'thing...No, that sucks too.

What of torrents? Isn't that even worse than p2p?

I'd so like to be part of "The Agency" on full stats with my mission being to take out the RIAA...

Maybe the RIAA should make linux illegal since you can't have DRM on it :o

I agree, I'd never buy a CD that the RIAA profits off of. I'd also never buy a digital DRM'd track that benefits DRM or the RIAA. I will buy music from independent artists who actually directly receive my money.

Recording things like that is becoming illegal...As I said manufactorors of major mp3 players (except ipod because they don't have any features ;)) are being forced (or are under pressure) to remove microphones and radio features on devices to stop people from recordning music they shouldnt....

Windows Vienna will be like: I delete all your files if they not bought on teh internets because of the possibility that they could be illegal lolz and $1,000 price tag.
