I'm opening this up so that the community can see that we're not just a bunch of nerds who sit on the couch all day
You can also either complain about your job, or praise it and suggest it for those who dont have one.

I'll start with mine. I play my violin for businesses receptions and such with my quartet at a rate of 50 dollars an hour. And when we can't get any jobs, I just go out to town, open up my case, and be a street performer for an hour or two.

Fifty dollars an hour? You must be really good!

I'm currently unemployed, though that doesn't make me a nerd, or someone that just sits on their couch.

I'm careful with my money, so I have enough from previous positions to keep me going for a while.

I'd say I'm financially successful, for a 17 year old. Everything I own was purchased from my own money, through my own work. And I have some nice things =)

i've never had a job and i'm 17 right now. i figure i'll get my CCNA or A+ certification as soon as i can and just get a tech job and skip all the McDonalds and Krogers malarky. if i want to get paid minimum wage, it'll be doing something i like.

Meh, I work at bungie, it's alright. . Hopefully I have a job coming up doing landscaping. If not then probably some store in the mall. Hoping to eventually get into a job for a game company, but that's not for another couple years.

Well, I'm about 14, and am getting a job at KI at 14, then at 16, im going to work at Geek Squad, (I am guaranteed a job there because a few months ago, I impressed the manager he offered me a job when im 16 =D. Also I'm going with Zandi on the no Mcd's or crap. I'm getting the best dang job a 15 year old can get xD.

i agree. once i get a mode of transport, i think i might try geeksquad just because i know i'll be able to do it no problem. pretty much any tech job i can find i'll try to get, and i'm probably going to do a local thing in my sub, where i set up wifi for people and such. that'll be some pretty easy money too.

I work at my dad's surround sound place.

We install sound systems in stadiums and big stuff like that.

I draw out the plans for stuff and also take inventory.

12$/hr for me.

Cashier at big ass market, hoping to move to stock. Minimum wage ftl!

I got called in for 3 interviews to work for geeksquad, already have all my certifications and stuff, and still no, that job is hard to get :/ I don't work right now.

Wow I'm surprised. It seems like they'd hire any moron off the street for that job (based on the people I've seen working at Geek Squad).

Unemployed currently, but looking at a job at a municipal airport that's a short bike ride away.

LOL! You are doing exactly what I was gonna do when im 15ish. I was gonna start up a little-local, cheap tech-support business. Pretty much doing what Geeksquad can do, but cheaper. I guess

currently unemployed but full time electrical electronics practical engineering operations level 3 [peo 3] student at college currently got my level 2 cert now finishing level 3.
