I've never seen anyone use their phone for actually listening to mp3s. I've heard people who have mp3 ringtones, but not listening to them like iPods.
I don't think they pose much of a threat, if any at all.

I don't think they will, but I dunno, TONS of people have iPods at my school, almost EVERY SINGLE PERSON has one, lol
So I dunno.

eventually, when they evolve into more of a small palm pc than a cell phone they might, but until they smooth out the web browsing and mp3 functions, as well as get higher resolution screens, i don't think it'll catch on.

With the exception of the iPhone, cell phones absolutely suck for mp3's. I would never use one (other than the iPhone, of course) for mp3's.
Reason? Their interfaces all are terrible.

Have you ever used many mp3 phones?
They are simply brilliant.
even the rokr or e398 old old phones have proper interfaces (itunes maybe? itunes with 32727 song limit)

I really want an mp3 phone, since I don't like lugging around more than one thing... what would really be cool is one of those handheld computer phone thingers...

I just bought the new RAZR that can play mp3s.
I already have a Zune but I will still use the RAZR at some times I guess...
EDIT: Oh and if you people who are talking about the iPhone are getting it...you are gunna lose a fat chunk in your wallet.
