Well I was getting on the Internet and I noticed a little thing that said "Our last day" and it had a asteroid on it and well I read it. I guess in 22 years a huge asteroid will hit the Earth. It says a lot about it here.
I just wanted to see what everyone thinks about it. Like will it actually be kicked off course, will it hit us, is it a coincidence that its on Friday the 13th, or anything that you guys have to comment about it please do.

Meh, if it wasn't this one, it would be another one.
Hopefully, by this time, we'll have a solid plan on how to defend ourselfs from stuff like this.

We can send a team out (accompanied by Aerosmith for a kick-ass theme song) to land on it and destroy it with a ultra-mega-ultra bomb, of course.

The asteroid is planned to miss us barely, but it'll come closer than the Moon orbits. Its next arrival will be scheduled to hit us though, I think they're talking about the second hit.

Also:

Too bad I don't have a friends who goes by the name Ford Prefect. Really though even if the astriod was going to hit earth, I think by then, if the world hasn't already ended yet, that we will have some kind of technology to stop the astroid.

Yea I thought this thing was gunna barely miss us as well.

we have the technology to stop it... Though, I have LOTS of rumors about the future...(None have been true)
Another one is that this year, something catastrophically amazing will happen and lead from one thing to another and human kind will kill one another off, also, the anitchrist

I say let it hit us. Maybe, if we're lucky, it'll only kill most of us. The world needs a nice population killer to help keep future peace. It would sure finish off the war in ol'iraq.

Yeah i agree i'm gonna get a nice shelter but let all the stupid poor people die then when it's all over there will be way way less people so i can loot Best Buy for the xbox 3000 or whatever they have in the year 2029.

There's nothing very feasible right now. Explode it with nukes? No. It'll shatter and send a million pieces out at us that'll do MORE damage over a wider radius.
One only slightly possible idea I heard was to send a probe out to nudge it ever so slightly...over time that slight change will interact with many other factors, hopefully delaying it more until we have the energy to melt it or something.

OR WE COULD EXILE OURSELVES ON SUPER STAR CARRIERS TO THE 20TH DIMENSION LOL!

Agreed. But what if that messes something else up and it kills us quicker. <_<.

True. Like shadowkhas said, we'd get shards of nuclear astroid on us, I suppose. Probe-nudging seems most probable, otherwise I suggest we just evacuate to the 20th dimension.
