I need a (good) name for a UNSC ship to use in my novel.
The ones that are already taken (that I know of)
Pillar of Autumn
In Amber Clad
Leviathan
The Black Star
Spirit of Fire

My suggestions:
Stallion of light/dark
Hammer of Thor

Please give me some suggestions for names. I need the names and I will probably use multiple ones in the movie/book. The ship is a frigate with the same design as In Amber Clad.

I don't think you can use the hammer of thor since they already use it in halo...hense MJOLNIR.

The Borodino.

Site of a battle between Napoleon Bonaparte's and Tsar Alexander the First's armies, outside of Moscow. The first major engagement between the two. That fits in with the Gettysburg, as a cruiser named after a battle. For an abstract name, however, Iron Stallion sounds tasty.

Please tell me you're kidding and that you don't think French people are just wussy retreaters. Learn medieval and French Revolutionary warfare, plzkthx.
It's not French, either, it's Russian.

Well halo has a lot of repetive things, so why not use hammer of thor. These are some goods ones, but I still haven't figured out one for Jack's ship (Jack is one of the main characters) Oh Ravnz the humans wouldn't be using a ship named after the forerunners, and Hawaiian im french and we didnt start being cowards until WWII ;) but a lot of names in Halo are french (Cote de Azure) Lady Soverign sounds used but pretty good, I guess it can be the flagship, but I like Borodino, cuz the Russians pwn and it has french history too. I will probably use both, but keep on with the names, you guys are pretty good. I have a lot, emphesis on lot, of ships to name , and I really like alot of these.

Glad that you like my suggestion! :) I'm studying the French Revolution and the French Empire right now, and I really like the significance of the battle in itself.
Here's some others from my mind:
Maelstrom
Shadowed Reason
Ragnarok (Hitting the Norse mythology books here...)
Gungnir (Odin's spear)
Guardian of Asgard (Asgard is the god's realm)
