i want one! this swedish guy has a personal rigid wing that you can use to glide rather efficiently, and no controls to fly it, only your body movements, so you're basically flying. not in a plane flying, or in a glider gliding, but out in the open air with the wind in your hair flying. hardcore.

the video above is when he attached 4 miniature jet engines to one of the rigid wings. the only control is the throttle, and he can use it to fly, not glide. although it isn't anything big, it is self-powered flight (while the fuel lasts) and it is possible to gain altitude, although not alot.

Not really, It would need FAA Certification to fly inside of American Airspace, and I don't think Manned Jet powered transportation would go well, because you'd have to go through all the steps to make it safe.

And the Video, Moby sure made a pretty good track to go along with the video.
