Stores technically shouldn't be offering preorders until Bungie official gives them permission and a release date. While it's true they can, I refuse to preorder until they officially start.

I will preorder the day before it comes out just like i did for Halo 2 and go wait outside the store for 12 am.

I ordered it soon only for the plain simple fact that i have no idea if i will have the money buy the time it comes out but i got plenty of money now so i might as well buy it now so i dont have to worry about it latter.

Why get halo 3 first? It will drive you insane having a game for a system you cant play.

I don't even know if I'm getting a 360. I'll probably play H3 campaign at a friend's, because that's pretty much all I care about.

Here in Australia, we enjoy gaming, however, since we have a much smaller population than other countries of smaller, equal or larger sizes, we generally have enough stock for everyone.
I originally thought that halo2 would be hard to come by...But me walking into a store the next day changed my opinion, there was still copies, and I happily bought mine no hassle, no midnight shit (Although there were all the midnight events with cheerleaders, MC's, light shows, stupid celebrities and such).

Why bother? It's not like it's like consoles.. shortage problems happen a lot less with software. I'm just going to go to Wal-Mart during lunch the day it's released.
