If its an old game, try tweaking compatibility settings..

Nox was a little overhead adventure game where u play as a wizard warrior or a conjuerer. It was a decent game of it's time but i last played it on a Windows 2000 and it worked fine but i'm not sure about an XP.
I don't remember if it was ran with dos.

no it works on XP pro but it just crashes on XP media center on my Dell XPS. Works fine on my crappy computer. just takes so long on my old computer that its impossible too find time too play it. and i cant stand waiting for it too minimize on my old computer so i can hex it. and give myself a speell that spawns staffs of oblivion on multiplayer

if you have enough hard drive space install a 2nd OS, like my friend, he currently has XP, Linux, and OS X, so im sure u could just get Windows 2k or something and try that. also if you do there should a be a promt on bootup that asks what OS u want to boot up. so gl with it.
